Many would say that Zimbabwe is a beautiful country to visit when going on a safari trip, but many would also say it’s not a great place to visit when living in unsanitary places and not having clean water. This is the problem that Zimbabwe is facing today, and it has had the same problem for many years.

Money is really important in countries in Africa such as in Zimbabwe. To get money in an African country is easy. People just sell their daughters into marriage. In African culture it’s more of the men paying to have your daughter's hand. There are a lot of people in Africa that think this is okay, and it’s the norm. This is how they were brought up and raised. There’s other people that are not as close minded, and think that earning money to get your daughter into marriage is selling her as property. This is a big issue in Zimbabwe, and children are dying because they are giving birth way too young because the family needs money, so they would sell their daughters.

2. Having A 53% Inflation

Inflation in Zimbabwe has risen around 10.6% over the years. It’s becoming a really big problem when the currency that they use in their everyday life has no meaning to it (no amount to it). We can also relate this to Germany when their currency didn’t mean anything in World War 2. The same thing is going to happen to Zimbabwe if nothing is being fixed about their currency status. It’s getting to the point where the people are angry with the president, and the president is doing nothing about it because he’s comfortable with his own riches

In 2009 Zimbabwe completely stopped printing the currency. Recently they spoke out that they are going to turn the currency into the US dollars. And that would be their big upcoming. And as of today we are still waiting to see if they are still going to stick to the plan, or are they going to make a new currency. It seems like they’re still sticking with the US dollars which is a good thing because the US can help with the finance a little bit. And this also shows that Zimbabwe is trying to turn around, and become strong once again.

When it comes to the clean water in Zimbabwe, you have to be very careful on whose house you drink at. There are some tap water that are not safe to drink, and there are some that are really safe to drink. There are also programs that help out with this, but these are very small organizations so little to nothing is being done when it comes to clean water in Zimbabwe. It has come to the point where drinking bottled water is the norm, but not many people in Zimbabwe can afford bottled water because the currency is in inflation right now.

Zimbabwe has around 82.2% poverty rate. This has gone up from 2018. It looks like it’s slowing down, but it’s not stopping. This is a huge problem for the people in Zimbabwe when all they know is Zimbabwe. That is their home that they grew up in, and I can’t picture seeing my hometown disappearing in front of my eyes because of the poverty rate and the inflation. This is a huge problem when it comes to Zimbabwe when their president is also not helping with this poverty rate as well. If this doesn't scream for help, I personally don't know what would.

6. Government Lacks In Support

The government in Zimbabwe is not very good. There was a time in Zimbabwe when they had a lottery drawing. And the president told the people whoever gets chosen will win amounts of money. The government is so corrupt that out of millions of people in Zimbabwe the president ended up winning the lottery, and took the money for himself. Zimbabwe is so corrupt that the president won the money which was for the people. Which he ended up keeping to himself without thinking about his people, and putting that money into good use.

7. Hygiene Is Killing Children

In Zimbabwe there is only 35% of the country that has access to sanitary things. This can also mean clean water, pads for the girls, and bathroom stuff. If you really look at it, 35% is very low for a country when they are missing their sanitary basics. Such as survival stuff like clean water or when girls have their period. The percentage is going up slowly, but we should also try to make it go faster by helping them out in a way where everyone can get the materials that they need. We should make everyone lives as comfortable as they can be.

Zimbabwe inflation is very serious, rather you’re looking at it from inside the country or outside the country. Not many of us really see how we get our water cleaned every single day. How we could always open the sink, and have clean water to drink. Well, in Zimbabwe It's very different when they open their sink and the water can kill them if they drink it. We also have to take into consideration that the currency that they’re making right now does not have value such as in world war two how the German currency also didn’t have value, and we should try to help them as much as possible, so the whole country doesn’t vanish because of the inflation.
