Nurses take cares of patients with some physical, mental problems or diseases, some help with the orderly. They basically take care of their patients during the day and night. They take care of them by giving medication, helping them to eat or go to the bathroom, they help them with their daily needs.

Nurses can work in a lot of different places. They work at the hospital obviously, long-term care facilities, and also clinics. They can work in school when a child is hurt or even a teenager who needs a medical prescription without going to the hospital. Also, correctional facilities. The nurses that work there need to be brave, because they are dealing with dangerous patient. They can work at their patients home, it is called home health nurses. It is common for the elderly.

First you need to attend an accredited Nursing program in cegep. After, you need to get and become licensed in university. Then, you need to earn additional certifications to specialize. Also, future nurses need to continue their nursing education journey.

They are tired of their shifts, but then they need to drive home, and that can cause car accidents. The most dangerous thing about being a nurse is the violence that the patient might have. They can get attack and physically hurt by them. They can also be hurt mentally because patients insults them.

The chances are low that nurses will be replaced by robots soon because robots cannot take care of the patient's life like nurses do. Robots do not have the knowledge yet to do that. Patients would not feel safe being taking care by robots, they need humans being like nurses to talk and create a relationship with them.

In the United States the age of retirement for nurses is 62 years old. However, this age always depends on the circumstances. Nurses can retire before the age of 62 depending on the circumstances that they are. Here, in Quebec, since the nurses are working for the government, they can take their retirement at the age of 55 years old.
