After graduation..What's next?
The end of high school.
It was the beginning of summer...but the end of high school. I was very sad because no one in my group of friends would go to the same school as me. They all went near them, in Lionel Groulx.Unlike them, I decided to go far from where I live. I decided to go to Ahuntsic.

The summer after High School.
I decided to have the best summer of my life before going to Cegep. I decided to make my dream of skydiving come true. It was a kind of way for me to say goodbye to my childhood because I did it at 17, just before I turned 18.

Then reality...
I was always unsure where to go after high school. I knew I wanted to be in a program that would allow me to do a job that helps people later. However, I didn't always get straight A's so becoming a doctor wasn't really an option for me. It was then after talking about it with friends that I thought about trying the tests to enter police technology. I never thought I would be taken since I had barely practiced!

Beginning of my program.
When I started my program, everything was new. I felt very overwhelmed by the work. However, I was in an enriched program in high school so I was used to a large workload.

The job made for me.
As I got into police technology, I noticed this program was for me. My favourite classes are my law and fighting classes. We learn how to fight burglars, we learn what to look at crime scenes, how someone is found guilty of a crime, how to put on handcuffs, work with a partner, how to give a speeding ticket, talk with the walkie-talkie and many others.

And what happen next?
I now have 1 year of Cegep left in police technology. In this 1 year, I will do an internship where I will learn particular tasks. I will learn the ropes. I can not wait.

Beside my job..
I always wanted to volunteer abroad. I enjoy learning from others and find that volunteering can be beneficial to me in my future work as a police officer. I want to get to know people in dept. Not being paid is not important to me. What is important is the impact you make. It is an unforgettable experience so I wish that besides my job, one day, I will go volunteer in another country.

What I hope not to experience in the futur...
In the work sphere, there are things that I would like to avoid. For example, in the police, ranks are very respected. I hope that I won't have a partner who makes threats to gain advantages. I wouldn't want to end up in a corrupt situation. Bibes aren't going to influence me to do something for someone obviously but I don't want to find myself in that situation. Also, as a woman in a working sphere surrounded by men. I wouldn't want to find myself in a situation where my partner would try to flirt with me. I wouldn't want to have to be dreaded to go to work because of that. Sexual harassment could also take place in a work sphere and I hope not to find myself in this one.

Retirement.
I would like to retire young. Enjoy traveling and seeing the world. Being able to see my children grow up and take them on great adventures where they will be able to remember that their parents were there when they were young. I know that being a police officer is not a dead-end job so I want to make the most of it as much as possible.

Drama story :).
This summer, I was a cadet for the city of Blainville. I never thought he could get some action in Blainville while cycling. For example, I once had to call the fire brigade to save a park from catching fire, avoid a fight between two drivers and chase a car on a bike. I had fun and I can't wait to do it again next summer. :).
