It is the end of secondary schools, and I have to choose what I want to do next. I can choose whatever I want, because I am a straight A's. There are two programs that I am interested in. I can go in Natural Sciences or in Police Technology.
Choice 1 : Go in Natural Sciences.

I am now in Natural Sciences. However, it is difficult. I tend to put aside all of my homework. I am not a straight A's anymore, my grades are really bad. I had to quit some classes, otherwise, I was going to fail all of my courses. I tried to pull off to increase my grades, but I want to change program. I want to go in Police Technology.
Choice 1 : Go in Police Technology.
I managed to get into Police Technology. I am very excited about it. I am working really hard to be a straight A's because I want to stand out. I am very thoughtful, and I am doing all my homework. I have good time management, so I do everything as soon as I can. I have done this during my three years of Police Technology. I got my diploma, and I am ready for the next step!

Choice 2 : Apply to Montreal Universty.
I am going to the ENPQ. I will be on-the-job-training with a lot of trainees. During this period, we do not earn a wage. I will see the ins-and-outs of the job. We will go on the road, and we will practice traffic break. We will also give some fake traffic tickets and fill incident report. Another interesting thing is that we will interview witnesses and assailant. During this period, you start to come in handy, and you are learning the ropes. There is not a lot of drawback. The only thing is that we are far from our family. We do not see them a lot, but it is only for 15 weeks!
Choice 1 : Graduation.
After my three years of Police Technology, I have decided to go to university. I have been accepted. I am studying in Criminology at Montreal University. This field of study will help me for my future job. However, I am missing the police field of study. When I see all of my friends who became police officers, I am sad. I would like to be like them. But, now that I have my high school diploma, I think that I am ready to go to the ENPQ.
Choice 1 : Go to the Quebec National Police Academy.
I have been a straight A's during my 15 weeks of training. I am ready to graduate. I feel ready good about it, and I am ready to be a police officer. My friends and I are proud of ourselves, but I have a big decision to make. I have to decided where do I want to work. I have a lot of choice. It is hard to choose. I am hesitating between Saint-Jérôme and the Sûreté du Quebec.
Choice 1 : Go to SQ.
Choice 2 : Go to Saint-Jérôme.
I have seen that the Sûreté du Quebec had a vacant position. I have applied, and I have been accepted in the Sûreté du Quebec. Before this, the Human Resources Department did a background check. I also did an interview. I have talked about volunteering abroad, and I have said that in secondary school, I was doing a lot of volunteering.
Choice 1 : Apply to be an investigator.
Choice 2 : Apply to be a sergeant.
I have decided to go to Saint-Jérôme. It is interesting, and it is a great learning experience, but there are not many opportunities for the future. That is a drawback of working to Saint-Jérôme. I am loving all of my colleagues, but I am thinking about changing. I would like to go to the SQ.

I have applied to the ENPQ. I cannot wait to have my answer. I am really happy about going there, because I will learn new things, and I will become better for my future job. It is intense, and you have to be ready for this test, because after this, you have people's lives in your hands.

I have applied in Criminology at Montreal University. I am waiting for an answer, and I cannot wait to know. I would like to see how is it in university.

It has been five years now that I am a police officer, and I had the opportunity to apply to upgrade my tasks. Being an investigator implies going to the court to testify about something. I would be really happy to have this grade. I would be able to improve my work, and become a better police officer. I could question some witnesses, I will use exhibits and fingerprints as proof. It is a really nice job.

The job of a sergeant is to lead is troops through missions, and operations. It is a really cool job, but it is very challenging. I do not know if I am ready for this. I will have a lot of police officers to take care of. The thing is that I do not know if another opportunity will present itself. I do not know what to do.

I got the job! I am now a sergeant. All the troops are super happy about it because they know that I do a good job. It is very rewarding to have great compliments about your work.

A few weeks later, I received the notice that I was not chose for the job. I am really sad, but I hope that there will be another offer later. Maybe that it was not the right time for me.

I am now a trainer for the new police officers. I give training for the patrolman. It is really different, and it is a really different vibe. I like it because I can share my knowledge to the rookies.

After 27 years in the police, I have done pretty much what I wanted to do. I had a beautiful career, and I am really thankful for what I have learned in the police. I think that I have made a difference in the life of people. I am ready for the next step.

I am back at Ahuntsic College, but this time, with another purpose. I am a teacher in the Police Technology department. I love sharing what I know about the police, and my experience with the future polices. I see myself when I was in their place.

I am old, and I think that it is time for me to retire. I have loved my job, and I am happy about what I have done. My students loved me, and they are now super good police officers. I have done a good job.

I felt like I was not doing enough, so here I am, giving conferences. I am really concerned about the lack of police officers. I am doing conferences to raise awareness. It is a big, and important job in the society. It is important, because police officers help people, and they prevent crimes.
