Tips on how to succeed in your career
The Begining.
It all starts here at the Cegep of Saint-Hyacinthe an administrative program. I've never been a student with amazing time management or straight A's. However, I still pull of decent grades. Now's the time to choose my career path and my gaze has laid itself on the profession of a diplomat. After a thorough investigation of what it is, It simply seduces me. Now the real question is how to I get there?
Choice 1 : The University of Montréal.
Choice 2 : The University of Quebec in Montreal.
The University of Montreal.
I hesitated between the two schools, but in the end, the reputation of the University of Montreal precedes itself. Now I have to get straight A's to access it's incredible overseas program in the Netherlands or do I focus on making friends and creating contacts for the future? They can both be useful in my career path but some may have hidden advantages.
Choice 1 : Get Straight A's for The Overseas Program In the Netherlands.

The University of Quebec in Montreal.
I hesitated between the two schools. I chose UQAM since it has the best OJT opportunities. Its focus is to use the skills you learn in theory in simulations. For example, a major crisis appeared in the middle-east and a new proxy war causes chaos on the oil market. The civil war makes the prices sky rocket. Your job is to find a quick solution to the issue. It really is useful to have some experience even if it's just a simulation. Now I have to choose where I want to go for my internship. I don't know if I should try non-profit organisms or the federal government.

Choice 2 : Work For the Federal Government.
Get Straight A's for The Overseas Program In the Netherlands.
I worked hard, and I managed to enter the program! The human resources of the University congratulated me and helped me with the details. I spent an incredible time out there, I had fun like no one, and I've made a ton of new friends. Now that I've finished my diploma I need to take decide, do I stay here in the Netherlands to gain their citizenship and work for the federal government or apply for a job as a diplomat in the foreign affairs bureau of Canada?

Focus on Making Friends and Contacts for The Future.
I went to countless business evenings where bribe and assets were both used in conversations as tools of power. Communism was regarded as a dead ideology while capitalism was still put into question. Corruption was a normal thing. I learned how to navigate the system to exploit the grey areas, and I've made contacts to allow myself to flourish in it. Now that I have to apply for a job, do I use my connections to get me in an important position or do I use my newly found skills to force the HR to hire me?

Work For a Non-Profit Organism.
Even if it isn't regarded as a real job, I get paid for my internship, and they actually care about the development of their employees. I worked for Amnesty International and I've spent countless weeks in foreign countries trying to negotiate the release of journalists with my supervisors. We were able to free 4 of them thanks to the experience of my seniors. I learned the ins-and-outs of the job. Now, I have to decide on my actual career. Do I stay with Amnesty International or do I try to enter the bureau of foreign affairs in Canada?

Work For the Federal Government.
My internship went horribly wrong. Multiple perpetrators were sexually harassing my female coworkers. I tried to deter them and ask the HR for help, but they did nothing. I learned later that they were perpetrators too. Five of my ten females colleagues committed suicide and the other five brought the whole department into court for severe charges of rape. I don't have what it takes to go on anymore what should I do?

My citizenship was accepted, and I spent 40 years working tirelessly for my new country by lifting many embargoes. Now, it's time for me to retire.

They accepted me with open arms! Then, I travelled all around the world solving all kinds of problems. I used my diplomatic immunity more than once. It's now time for me to retire.

The police arrested me the next day. Then, I died in jail by an unknown gang.
