Congratulation!

I finally graduated from high school, it was now time to decide what will be my purpose in life, beginning with what I wanted to study. Luckily, I always had some older friends because I started working at the age of 15 years old. Them already being in college at that time, they encouraged me to go to college telling me that college is an invaluable experience. I decided to listen to them, so I applied to college.

Choice 1 : I decided to apply to Ahuntsic College

Choice 2 : I decided to apply to Montmorency College.

Ahuntsic College.

I finally decided to go to Ahuntsic College, most of my friends were students here, it was an easy choice in the end. My friend, who were a couple years older than me knew the ins-and-outs of Ahuntsic College. During my first year, I did not really know what I was doing, I was not really in a real program, but I genuinely enjoyed college. The only drawback was that it was far from home for someone who lives in Laval. After my first two years, I decided to change program.

Choice 1 : I decided to study Social Sciences - The Individual (Psychology).

Social Sciences - The Individual (Psychology).

After trying a few classes and really liking the Psychology classes, I decided to apply for Social Sciences - The individual. I really enjoyed the program, and it got me sucked up in the domain of psychology. Right now, I am looking forward to continuing my studies in the psychology related field. Now comes time to apply for university.

Choice 1 : I decided to apply to the University Of Gatineau (UQO).

Choice 2 : I decided to apply to the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM).

Choice 3 : I decided to apply to the University of Montreal (UDeM).

Montmorency College.

I decided to apply to Montmorency College, it is really close to where I live and is really big. The only problem was that I was really bias to go to Ahuntsic College instead of Montmorency College. I didn't really have any friends at this college, so I ended up leaving Montmorency College.

Choice 1 : I decided to change college and I applied to Ahuntsic College.

University Of Gatineau (UQO).

This would be the perfect choice for my studies in terms. The only drawbacks are that it is really far away from my house, which means I won't be able to see my family, girlfriend and friends a lot. I will also have to live on my own for the first time in my life. This choice could be a dead end if I don't want to be far away from my close ones. After beginning my bachelors degree in psychology, I will have the possibility of continuing in this University to do my doctorate or applying to a different University, probably McGill University.

Choice 1 : I decided to apply to McGill University for my doctorate.

Choice 2 : I decided to continue my studies at UQO and becoming a psychologist.

University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM).

University of Quebec in Montreal would be my second choice because it is closer to my house. I would only have to take the metro to get to the campus. The only drawback is that I don't have a good enough '' Cote R '', so I would have to do a certificate in a different program than psychology to get a good GPA and enter in Psychology the next year. After finishing my bachelors degree, I can either continue in UQAM until I graduate from a doctorate in Psychology or I can decide to apply to McGill University to do my doctorate in Psychology which always looks good on a CV.

Choice 2 : I decided to continue my studies at UQAM and becoming a psychologist

Montreal University (UDeM).

University of Montreal would be my first choice because there is a ward in Laval which would be really close to my house. McGill University.

After finally finishing my bachelors degree and doing some internships, I will apply to McGill University to do my doctorate (which in Psychology, they fused the masters and the doctorate together). Firstly, because it always looks good on a CV, secondly because it is an English University, and it is always good to also know how to do your job in English for future employment and thirdly because of the experience of going to McGill University which is in my opinion a really beautiful University.

Being A Psychologist.

Yay! I will finally have graduated my studies after approximately ten to eleven years of studies. A multitude of choices will be possible when finishing my doctorate, I could go work in a hospital in the psychiatric department, I will have the possibility of working in a school to be a school psychologist, I could also go work in a private clinic or go work in a public clinic. I could also even become a Psychology teacher either in college or in University in the bachelors.

Choice 1 : I decided to become a psychologist in a hospital.

Choice 2 : I decided to become a school psychologist.

Choice 3 : I decided to become a clinical psychologist.

Choice 4 : I decided to become a psychology teacher.

Psychologist In A Hospital.

I decided to go work in a hospital to begin my career as a psychologist in the psychiatric department. I will mostly be working with people being in a state of extreme psychosis that had to be hospitalized by their family. While working in a hospital, well-everyday as a psychologist, you really have to set aside your emotions because they can't get in the way of your work at any time. The drive of work while working in a hospital will be a lot to take in, but it is a good way to test your capabilities.

Choice 1 : I decided to continue my work as a clinical psychologist.

School Psychologist.

To begin my career as a young psychologist, I will mainly help student cope with the stress of school and helping them with their anxiety, but it could happen that I will help them with some mental illness that they can have during their high school, college or even university experience.

Choice 1 : I decided to continue my work as a clinical psychologist.

Clinical Psychologist.

I decided to become a clinical psychologist right of the bat, helping others was always something I really wanted and being someone who struggled with mental illness for a couple of years, helping people with mental illness will be my specialty. During a therapy, I will be profiling patient to understand their mental health, going from obsessive-compulsive disorder to suicidal people. The amount of fulfillment you must have while being a clinical psychologist must be enormous, and you must be feeling proud for helping people every day.

Psychology Teacher.

Being a Psychology teacher is a good way to review a lot of things you learned and to teach others who are passionate of the psychological aspect of the mind and person.
