At the end of high school, I knew what I wanted to do. I wanted to be a detective. I decided to apply to Ahuntsic College to study Police Technology for 3 years. Sadly I wasn't accepted. I didn't know what to do.

Choice 1 : Change my career.

I decided to change my studies because I wanted to start working as soon as possible. I knew I always like interior design, and I though of doing this for my life, but I knew it was a lot of years of study, and I don't like school that much. What should I do?

Choice 1 : Give it a try.

Choice 2 : Go on vacation.

I decided to reapply next year in Police Technology, and I am happy that I did that. By doing that, it helps me because I will have fewer courses when I do my Police Technology. Indeed, I did most of my basic courses, so now my 3 years of my technique are less intense. Because I did a Springboard, I was selected to do my technique in 2 years instead of 3. That means I start working earlier, but I have to work harder during my study. I don't know what to do.

I decided to give it a try because I knew I was going to like it because if you do a job that you like, you are going to love work. I soon realized that it was too hard for me and I wouldn't be able to do all of these studies. I was back at the beginning again, and I had to make a choice.

Choice 1 : Quit school.

I bought myself a trip in the Bahamas, it was awesome, and I really want to continue to travel, but now, I did all of this just to lose a year of work, and I still don't know what I am going to do. Did I make the wrong decision?

I know I want to make money and start working as soon as possible, so I chose the first choice. I finished my 2 years of Cegep in Police Technology, now I have to apply for L'École Nationale de la Police du Quebec. It is hard to get in that school because they only take 75 people at a time.What should I do meanwhile I get into that school?

Because I don't like school, I decided to do my technique in 3 years instead of 2. This allows me to work and get some money during my years of school. It also allows me to have some breaks and not be rushed all the time, so I can concentrate on school and have straight A's. Now that I am done with my technique, I have to do L'École Nationale de Police du Québec. It can take so much time until I'm accepted. I don't know what to do.

Sadly, I realized that school wasn't for me. I didn't have the motivation to learn the ropes in school. So, I quit school, and now that I have nothing to do, I don't know where I should go.

Why not go to the army? It doesn't take any studies, and you just have to be strong, very strong. I mean, I am strong, strong enough to be in the police and arrest people, but not that strong to be in the army. I wasn't able to keep up the work with every one else. I am starting to think that I made the wrong choice.

I don't know what to do. I don't want to be homeless!! I could get sexually harassed by anyone in the street. You never know what to expect in our generation, there are a lot of perpetrators.

I decided to work until I am accepted. You can do a lot of jobs before becoming a police officer. I think I will go in this direction. It will help me to make my advances to the police, and I can have more chances to get a job after the ENPQ. If I don't give up, I will have this fulfillment, and it will make me happy and proud of myself.

I can control traffic lights for festivals or events and circulate the car when there are accidents or traffic. After many months, I realized that it was boring, and I didn't like that. I want to be in the field, and to arrest criminals, I want to get sucked up in crimes and do justice to the one that deserves it. Did I make a good decision?
