The beginning of an era.

In a couple months I'll finally graduate from Cegep Ahuntsic. For 3 years I have studied the program of International studies. I always loved history, politics, but I have never seen myself work as a History teacher or for the government. I have one month left to make a choice. Either go to university as an independent student at the University of Quebec or follow my API advice and go to the University of Montreal in the program called Industrial Relations.

Choice 1 : Go to the University of Quebec.

Choice 2 : Go to the University of Montreal.

I received my acceptance letter as an independent student at UQAM it's been a few months now. I decided to choose courses as philosophy, history and German language. I still feel very lost as I feel I don't belong at this university. I am thinking to traveling to Europe by myself and experiences new things in life.

Choice 1 : Go to Europe.

Choice 2 : Continue my university studies as an independent student.

Go to the University of Montreal.

I think I finally had found my future career. I feel like to belong in this program. Even tho, I experienced some difficulties in the beginning of my university studies, I think I finally made my choice as to be a human resources' manager. Nevertheless, I am experiencing financial difficulties, and It seems I can't continue as a full time student.

Choice 1 : Continue my studies at the University of Montreal.

Choice 2 : Quit school and find a new job.

Go to Europe.

Since I arrived in Paris, I feel very light. I don't feel the pressure of school anymore, and I made new friends to share this experience. I am starting to think that school wasn't for me. I have also met someone named Peter who wants to take me on a date.

Since I decided to stay at this University and study my courses I feel very depressed. I couldn't make any friends, and I feel that I am not evolving. I feel stuck, and I am starting to close myself from my friends and family. I think the best option for me is either to take a break from school or quit school and find a new job to at least make money.

I have so many debts since I entered the University. I was not prepared for the financial charges. I am no longer able to concentrate in my studies with the numerous calls of the bank to pay my credits' cards. Plus since I am a full time student, I can't work more than 20 hours in a week. I am officially in debt and need to quit school.

The date with Peter went so well that we kept seeing each other. I found out he was a rich man, and he proposed to me. I decided to accept and since then I am living my best life as a housewife. I decided to never return to school and have never found my passion and never had a proper career. Till our death we like by his retirement.

I have refused the invitation of Peter and since then I have been working at Starbucks. I realized how our work rights are neglected and the work conditions are the worst I have never seen. Our human resources' manager doesn't seem to hear my cause and keep ignoring my requests. I have since kept thinking on how I could improve our situation and I start doing some research. I have found a study program called Industrial Relations and this program is offered at the University of Montreal. I am thinking of going back to Montreal or should I stay in Paris working at my coffee shop?

After I decided to stay in Paris, I quit my work at Starbucks. Because I couldn't find a new job, my parents have asked me to come back to Montreal. I am now unemployed and my parents only accept to care for me financially if I go back to school. Since I didn't have any choices left, I decided to go to the program I found in Paris. After 3 years, I am officially a human resources' manager, and I work at a big firm.

Search for a new job.

To be able to pay off my debts, I went searching for a new job that could pay me well. After a week of search, I got an offer from Couche-Tard to work as a human resources' coordinator. They also offered me scholarships to be able to continue my studies and have offered me a future position as a human resources' manager.

I decided to stay at the University of Quebec and since then I have been consulting a psychologist because of my depression. She tried to help me and find me new purposes in life. After a couple of months of sessions, we have found a program I love. We discovered I love labor rights, mediation, help people, and with the financial help of my parents I decided to change my University and to go to the University of Montreal and study Industrial Relations.

After many job interviews, I found a job at Couche-Tard as customer service agent. Thanks to my on-job training I was able to apply at this new position offered by them as a human resources' technician. I was able ta have an internship with the team director and climb the social hierarchy of employment.
