Life as a Social Worker.

I choose my future University.

I just finished cegep, and I have to decide which University I want to go. I don't even know if I should stay in Canada or I should go to the United States. I could also go abroad. All I know is that I want to go to a program to become a social worker. I ended up with straight A's which helps me get into any university because I used time management.

Choice 1 : I go to the UQAM University.

Choice 2 : I go to Harvard University.

Choice 3 : I go to the University of Paris Cité.

University of UQAM

I go to the UQAM University.

The UQAM University suggested I volunteer to see what a social worker job is like. I find it a good purpose to learn about the job. I volunteered in a hospital. It really gave me an in-depth look at the work of a social worker, but I don't know if it is a dead-end environment, or I was any good.

Choice 1 : I stay and work to hospital.

Choice 2 : I am looking to work at another environment.

University of UQAM

I go to Harvard University.

Harvard offered me an internship at a teenage center. This will help me to have a foot in the door. I become an intern and watch the other social workers work. I felt overwhelm by the problems of teenagers even though I tried to be useful. I decided for my internship to change environment, but I don't know which one to choose. Do I get to elementary school or to an Alcoholic Anonymous group?

Choice 1 : I go to elementary school.

Choice 2 : I go to Alcoholic Anonymous group.

Harvard University.

I go to the University of Paris Cité.

At the University of Paris Cité, I was sexual harassment. Many men make flirtation with me, but I told them to stop. I think it is a misconduct to not listen when I say stop. I tried to deter my perpetrators from continuing by telling them that I would complain., but they never stopped. I was a recipient for sexual harassment for them. I decided to leave the school to go to another school.

Choice 1 : I go to Harvard University.

Choice 2 : I go to the UQAM University.

University of Paris Cité.

I stay and work to hospital.

There is a lot of corruption in the hospital. A mother wants to give me a bride to take care of her daughter, but not my other patients. She treats me that if I don't accept she will complain that I wanted to hit her. In the hospital rules, it is well- ingrained that no bride should be accepted.

Choice 1 : I take the bride.

Choice 2 : I don't take the bride.

Hospital

I am looking to work at another environment.

I decided to work as a social worker for the older person. I replace a person leave of absence so there is a vacant position. Before hiring me, the HR had to do a background check. They saw in my background check that when I was young, I had stolen from a store. They don't want to hire me.

Choice 1 : I lie about my theft.

Choice 1 : The End.

I continue to work in the Alcoholic Anonymous group.

I see that other colleagues who work with me in the group are corrupt. They get bribes from alcoholic people to say they are in recovery when they are not. It is theft from our clients, but it is also sad because they will never get good treatment. I am trying to find a way to stop the corruption, but it is well-ingrained.

Choice 1 : The End.

I drop her request, go to HR, and tell them what going on. An HR understands the situation, and will ask the mother to stop request or she and her daughter will have to change hospitals. The mother understands the message, and does not offer me any more bribe.
