It all started like this.

It all began when I was in my last year of high school. I needed to choose where would I send an application for college in a couple of weeks and I couldn't choose between a technique in Nursing or in Prehospital Emergency Care.

Choice 1 : I go study at Ahuntsic College in the Prehospital Emergency Care program.

Choice 2 : I go study at Saint-Laurent College in the Nursing program.

Choice 3 : I go study at Saint-Laurent College in Social Sciences because I don't know what I want to do.

After three beautiful years in this program, I now graduate as a paramedic.

Choice 1 : I found a job on the island of Montreal as a paramedic.

Choice 2 : The request to work as a paramedic in Montreal is not very good. No jobs are available.

I go study at Saint-Laurent College in the Nursing program.

After three beautiful years in this program, I now graduate as a Nurse Technician.

Choice 1 : I deepened my studies by going for a bachelor's degree in nursing at the university.

Choice 2 : I now start to work as a nurse in a hospital in the area.

I go study at Saint-Laurent College in Social Sciences because I don't know what I want to do.

After two semesters in the Social Sciences program, I can not bear history and geography classes anymore.

Choice 1 : I dropout of school because I feel that what I learn is useless to me.

Choice 2 : I change programs to go in Nursing at the same school.

I found a job on the island of Montreal as a paramedic.

Working as a paramedic is hard, but gives me a daily dose of adrenaline and it's so satisfying.

Choice 1 : My jobs makes me happy and gives me a good revenue.

Choice 2 : After a couple of years, I seriously hurt my back during a mission and can not work anymore.

After three years of learning, no jobs are available for me on the island of Montreal as a paramedic.

Choice 1 : I find myself unemployed.

Choice 2 : I go back to school at Saint-Laurent College to start a technique in the Nursing program.

Following my advanced studies, I now have a better salary and more responsibilities as a nurse.

Choice 1 : I now start to work as a nurse in a hospital in the area.

Choice 2 : I volunteer as a nurse with Doctors Without Borders.

The job of a nurse is very demanding and stressful, but the feeling of helping people every day is very comforting and satisfying. I plan on doing my job as long as I can.

I do not have a degree, and my work as a part-time student is not paying enough for me to make a career with the little schooling I received.

I am leaving for a few months on a humanitarian mission to Africa to provide care to those who miss it. My work is more than satisfying and I realize one of my biggest dreams.
