My first determinant choice.

Hi! My name is Frédérique, and I am in my last semester of cegep. In the past months, I made some applications to some university, and I have been receiving some respond from them, but I am not able to choose. I want to be a neuropsychologist, but in don't know where I want to go study. So, I can go to the University of Montreal in a cognitive neuroscience program or, I can go to the University of Laval in Psychology. In each case I will be far from my family, so I am not sure where I should go.

Choice 1 : Go to the University of Montreal.

Choice 2 : Go to the University Laval.

I am now in university! This program is very interesting, and I learned a lot of things about the brain and people's behavior. In even had an internship to learn the ropes of the job of neuropsychologist. At the end of the internship, I was a little overwhelmed, but I very like it. This program is very maddening, but only have left one exam, before my Ph.D.If I have a good grade on this exam, I can do my doctorate to be a neuropsychologist, or I can do fundamental research. However, I am normally a straight A's student, so I don't really want to study for this exam.

I am now doing a Bachelor's degree in Psychology in order to become to either be a neuropsychologist or a psychologist. This major is very interesting because we learn about the brain and the behavior of people with mental health issues. I am pulling of all of my exams, so I can decide what I want to do.

I have been talking to the HR, and they have told me that they will take care of it. They offer me some compensation, and they fire the perpetrator. I am now happy to work there, and I try to find something that would help people with neurodevelopmental disorders.

During an experimentation I died, because the pharmaceutical company was furious that I didn't want to test the drug. So, they sabotage my laboratory, and caused my dead.

I am a very popular neuropsychologist because I had help a lot of patient with mood disorder, or with cognitive disorder. Today, I have an appointment with a friend, but I don't know if I should go, I have the feeling that something bad while happen.

I have been working at the hospital for 3 years. Before they hired me, the HR did a background check. The first day I was a little overwhelmed, but I started to learn the ropes. I work with a team of nurse and doctor. One of the jobs is to evaluate patients that had traumatic brain injury and to find solutions to help them live with their condition. One of my patients is very friendly, and I don't know if I should continue to evaluate with him.

Oh no... I had been meeting my friend when the police call me, because my office has been set on fire. I don't have anything left, so I can't take my retirement. I will need to work for the rest of my life.

I have been evaluating this patient for a while, and I start to fall in love with him. The office politics are very strict on this topic, and HR found out. So, they fired me for misconduct, and I cannot find another job.

I didn't like the relation that I had with this patient. As a result, I found him another neuropsychologist, and I continue to work at the hospital for a while. I am retiring, because the drive of work is starting to tire me out.

Volunteering abroad.

I have been volunteering abroad for the past year, and it an invaluable experience. At first, I was skeptical about the tasks and the lack of salary. However, I learn valuable skills, and I met new people.

The only restaurant that has wanted to hire me is McDonald's. I don't have many benefits, and the salary is not good. I do a lot of overtime, and there is a lack of fulfillment. I could continue to work there, or I could go back to school.

I have been working there for the past 2 years, and I hate it. There was a vacant position in management, so I decided to take it. Returning to school was the best choice I made. I like what I am doing, and I am accomplishing in it.

Neuropsy.

I just finish my Ph.D in Neuropsychology, and I could not be happier. I learned everything that could be helpful for my future job. I finished my Ph.D at the top of my class, and many places want to work with me. I am hesitating between two job offers. I could go work with at my friend's cabinet, or I could go work at a school.
