It's 2020, and we are in a major lockdown due to Covid-19. I am in the middle of my last school year, and I need to apply to college. I decided to apply to Montmorency College, but I'm hesitating between the programs Health Science and Visual Arts. Which one should I choose?

Choice 1 : Apply to Health Science at Montmorency College.

Choice 2 : Apply to Visual Art at Montmorency College.

School is now online, and I am in Health Science, but I am not doing good in my classes. I'm failing Mathematics due to lack of motivation, and I am putting aside a lot of homework that is necessary to pass my class. I am hesitating between asking for help from my Math teacher or giving up on Health Science and talking to a counselor to change my program.

I am now finishing my college career in Visual Arts, and I finally feel like I have a purpose in life. I pulled straight A's in my art classes, and I worked on so many projects for my portfolio. It's now time to apply to university but I am hesitating between Concordia University and Montreal University since I speak both English and French.

I had the courage to go and explain my struggle to the teacher, hoping he would give me some good advice to pass his class. The teacher tells me he does not care about my life and not being able to manage my life is not his problem. I am so mad at him. There is no reason for him to be this mean to students. Should I make a complaint or should I let it go and talk to a counselor to change my program?

After my bad Health Science experience, I feel confused because I don't know what program should I go to, but I am finally having a counselor to help me choose better. She and I talked so many times, and she told me : "If I was you I would choose something I would genuinely enjoy. So, tell me Perla, what do you truly love to do?" I don't actually know what I truly love, so she made me run some tests about my interests in life, and it turns out that I have interests in Arts the most. I decide to change to Visual Arts in the same college.

Make a complaint!

I made a complaint about the math teacher who talked to me horribly. I am not a bad person in life, but sometimes it's needed! The teacher crossed the line and made me feel unworthy. Apparently, I am not the only student who complained about that teacher, so he is now in the process of getting fired from our college for his behavior. It's now time to move on and talk to a counselor to change my program.

WOHO! I finally made it to university. It was a long journey, but I am here now. Arts are a big part of my life now, and I am willing to continue in the same field. But, I am not sure if I should choose to study Museology or art teaching.

I finally finished my studies in Museology, and I spent the next 30 years working as a Museum guide at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. I was a trainee, and I used to be a trainee who gives on the job training for new employees. I also used to welcome visitors and tell them about different paintings, artworks, art periods and art movement to help them understand the context of the museum artworks. It is now time to retire and spend the rest of my time with my loved ones!

After I finished University and got my degree in art teaching, I had the chance to work at the University of Sherbrooke as an Art teacher. It has been great. I had the opportunity to change people's perspective about arts even though alienation and hard work can be difficult sometimes. As long as you enjoy what you do, nothing can make you give up in life. It is now time to retire and spend the rest of my time with my loved ones!

After getting my Graphic Design degree, I had the chance to express and share my thoughts on many topics, and my goal was to open people's eyes to our world. It was a great journey that made me learn a lot in life, but it is now time to start a new and a final chapter, which is retirement to spend the rest of my life with my family.

After my Animation degree, I had the chance to work at the biggest Animation company in Canada. I gained good experience and learned a lot about my career. But it is finally time to move onto a new and a final chapter, retirement.

I am finally sitting in my chair at my house, feeling proud to be one of the most successful people around. Living in peace with my children and my grandchildren. I am finally happy after all the struggle I have been through, it's one of the best feelings ever.
