I just finished college with straight A's. I have accumulated some money, but I am not sure if I should take the risk and invest in real estate or to start working as an intern to a CEO.

In college, time management was one of the reasons why I got straight A's. I more often than not was studying, and I undermine all of my friends. At least, my application to major in Speech Linguistics at the university were accepted, and I have the choice to go to the University of McGill or to the University of Montreal.

During college, I had an internship with an estate agent to gain experience and to accumulate money. Now that I invest in my own property I realized that there were several drawbacks to owning a property. I had to learn the ins-and-outs of the real estate business, deal with office politics, and put aside my lack of knowledge and experience. I had to deal with the maddening drudgery of paperwork, background checks, and thorough inspections. I was not ready for all of this so, I have just one option left it's to pull off the deal.

During college, I secured an internship in a vacant position with a CEO. I was also thrilled to be offered on-the-job training (OJT) so I could learn the ropes from experienced professionals. During my trainee, I was a thoughtful and hard-working employee. I impressed my superiors, and they decided to give me a premium wage. I was overwhelmed of problems, I had to deal with bias and alienation from some of my coworkers, but I refused to let it deter me. I also learned how to handle sexual harassment in the workplace and to report perpetrators of misconduct. I was able to get a foot in the door in the company, and I learned everything I needed to know about real estate. Now I felt confident and prepared to make my first investment. Should I invest in the drop shipping or in a restaurant?

I was excited to start University, but I soon realized that the language barrier was a drawback. I struggled with English, and the maddening workload added to my alienation from the academic community. I was thoughtful about my purpose and I realized that continuing at McGill would be a dead-end job. I decided to take a leave of absence and to change universities and go to the University of Montreal.

After graduating from University, land a job as a speech therapist and undergo on-the-job training to learn the ropes. With thorough training, I became a successful speech therapist and move up the ranks to a higher-paying position in the hospital. I set aside a portion of the income, and I took advantage of the pension plan and other compensation packages to set aside money for retirement.

I decided to open a restaurant in Morocco even though corruption is established in the country. I did everything to make my restaurant different. I wanted customers to feel safe from theft or bribe. This business allowed me to test drive my skills. I am so proud of myself, my business worked very well.
