An important choice to make during her internship.

Kiara goes to St-Hyacinth College. She is in the animal health program and today is her first day at her internship. She has an internship to do in a hospital to practice what she learned during her two years and a half, and to see if it's not a dead-end job. So, when she arrived on the job internship, she said hello to the people that work there. After that, she had to make an important choice for her day. Is she going to work with Isabelle, the veterinarian who takes care of emergencies or Natalie the veterinarian for patients that already has their appointment?

Kiara thought that it could be an amazing day to work for the emergencies' cases because she feels that she has a lot of energies. From what she saw so far in those emergencies' scholarships, they are all big cases. She can't wait to start the day with Isabelle.

Kiara thought that it could be an amazing day to work in with the patients that already has an appointment for taken for today. She doesn't really have a lot of energies, so she thinks that working with the animals that have appointments will be less stressing, overwhelming for her, and that she could learn the ropes of the job more carefully.

A boring start of the day.

The first few hours of her internship, Kiara didn't learn new things. She mostly just looked around and observe what the others were doing. But unfortunate, there were not emergencies since the beginning of the day. So, instead of trying to learn more about animals, she decided to get to learn more about the office politics, the ins-and-outs of the job, wage and much more. She learns so much about the job, and its benefits, but less about animals. So, for Kiara it wasn't a bad day, but it could've been better. Start again!

A great start of the day.

So, the first thing for Kiara was to be taught how to take the vital signs for each patient that they have at the hospital. After that, they waited for the first emergency to come in. But that was not too long because there was a dog that got stung by a bee and needed help. Kiara really enjoyed seeing how things go when a god gets stung by an insect. After that case, they went to see a patient that was not able to move his legs. They had to do x-rays, so that was really interesting for Kiara, and she even came in handy when they needed some help. So, the day went on, and at the end of the day she was really exhausted but happy to have seen all of those cases. Start again!

So, the first thing that Kiara was taught was how to prepare all the rooms for the appointment of the day. She had to make sure that every room was clean and that the computes in the rooms were working. After that, she helped the graduate technician prepare all the vaccines for today. She learned a lot during that time. She learned the basics of the job. Her trainee taught her so much. After that, she helped the veterinarian with her case and before that she knew, the day was finished. Start again!

A boring day.

So, Kiara started the day with her trainee Natalie so help regular patient with their problems. She was excited to see the regular dogs and cats that she could one day help. At first, she thought that even if it wasn't new cases, everything would be fun and exciting. But every hour that passes, she sees that it's ingrained cases with no changes and always the same treatment. So, in a way, she feels that it's kinda boring, and she regretted not having chosen to go with Isabelle this morning. But, there was this client that she heard enter the clinic, and she heard him say that veterinarians are theft, and they do their work just to bribe the clients. At this moment, when she heard this she was so frustrated. So, she finally decided what she is going to do in the future. She will be a veterinarian technician for the emergencies. With all the drawbacks that she saw today, she thinks that she won't get bored, and she will not hear clients undermine her job like she had today. Start again!
