The Last of Us.

It’s been around 24 years since the initial outbreak of the Cordyceps infection in 2013, it was determined it came from South America, infecting humans through crops. The day the outbreak occurred was filled with pain and death, hospitals becoming easily overrun and cities fell within days. Many cities were bombed within the first year, cities like Chicago, New York and Los Angeles. The government sent out FEDRA to a few cities, then being used to try and contain the outbreaks but at last most failed as most of the government fell. Over 100 still remained functional, just not at its best, these places were often destroyed by certain groups in cities, the most notable ones who attacked were called Fireflies; they were one of the most notorious rebellion groups that formed early into the apocalypse, still having a strong presence within the country. Although our story doesn’t take place in a huge city, it takes place in a small area in the state of Colorado. And within this area there is a old mining town named Stoneview and a once mighty city named Northbrooke, it was somewhat bombed but it wasn’t a priority. In Northbrooke there is a still functioning FEDRA base that’s holding strong, it hasn’t had an attack by the fireflies since the early years. There was a military base but that’s now overrun with all forms of infected, it being deemed by the locals a no go zone due to the high concentration of infected. In the small town of Stoneview there’s an old Mining site, most tunnels crawling with fungus but others are used as temporary camps for those who need it. And finally the last notable place is St. Willows boarding school has concrete walls surrounding it and is rumoured to be run by children and young adults, all attacks on this place have remained failed as the children rarely leave to the greenhouse filled with vegetables that they have. Anyways this Area was heavily affected by the virus, most people fleeing but those who didn’t either died or barely survived. And lately there’s been rumours of a immune man but nobody believes them, will you survive, work for FEDRA, be a farmer or maybe fall to the infection?
