I'm halfway through my cegep technique and I don't know what I'm going to do after my studies. Be I continue at university in special education or I stop school and go to work. These are two difficult choices because my parents always pushed me to continue my studies as long as possible. I know I have the ability but it's the effort I'm going to have todoing that is more difficult.
Choice 1 : Stop school and go to the job market.
Choice 2 : Go to the university.

After my technique, I am on the job market, but I have to decide which clientele I want to work with. Deep down, I know that I have always loved children but following my internship during my technique I loved getting to know the elderly. These are two very endearing clienteles. The choice is very difficult.

Choice 2 : Work in a residence with seniors.
After cegep, I decide to apply to university, but I don't know which one to choose. I hesitate between two universities. I have heard good comments from the University of Sherbrooke so I am very interested in it. However I am very close to my family so going further away will take me away from my loved ones and I will probably be bored. In addition, I do not know anyone in Sherbrooke while I already have some acquaintances in Quebec City.
Choice 1 : Go to the University of Sherbrooke.

I work with children with behavioral and adjustment disorders at an elementary school, but a position opens up for me to work at the rehabilitation center with a clientele of children. I wonder if I accept the job and say goodbye to my position in primary school.

I am very attached to the elderly. I do a lot of activities with them and I am interested in their memories of their lives. I create more and more beautiful bonds of trust with them. I feel that they like to be in my presence and that I bring them a listening that leads them to want to open up to me. They love me and I fall in love with this environment.

I am at the University of Sherbrooke. I really like the city. I make several new acquaintances. I meet a handsome football player at a karaoke night. He came to sing a song with me at that night and we learned that we had a lot in common. Be I let myself go in this romantic relationship, or I give up and focus only on my studies. I've never let myself go in a relationship so for sure I'd like to give it a try but I don't want to be hurt for nothing if it doesn't work out and ruin my studies for a relationship that wasn't worth it.

I am at Laval University in Quebec City. I have to choose if I go to residence next to the university or if I drive every day to the university.

I love this new environment. I now work with children with particular disorders such as language. I feel like I belong as a special education teacher. I care about her children and am passionate about finding tools that can help her youth communicate better. I like that there is a purpose in working with them and helping them rehabilitate.

I am starting to find it difficult to work with several groups of children with behavioural problems. I struggle to find new and effective ways to help my youth. There are also some with attachment and opposition disorders and I find it difficult to reframe them. I persevere and continue to do what I can.

Our relationship is going well I'm in love crazy. I'm starting to forget my priority, which is school. I go out to bars with my boyfriend and his friends. I think it's time to regain control over my studies. I even forget to take time for myself, I'm always with my boyfriend.

I focus on my studies and it becomes beneficial. I have good academic results and I am able to understand my courses and do my work properly. I wonder if I should go out with my friends anymore but I think I'm making the right choice to stay in my books. My social life is less present but my average at school is better than that of others.

I live the best student life. I make several new acquaintances. I manage to make outings while concentrating in my study program. I think I have found a good balance. The only downside is that I miss my family a lot. I can't see them every day like I used to because I'm no longer at my parents' house.

Finally, I don't like to go on the road and there is a lot of traffic. It can take me an hour or more before I get to university. I can still see my family but I don't like having to get up early in the morning to avoid traffic. I try to adapt myself to the situation.
