The 911 central receives a call from a man with a raspy voice. You can hear him tell the receptionist about him witnessing a murder on the 27th avenue in Saint-Eustache. The house number is 326. He says that since it is dark outside due to the hour, and that the lights are open on the inside of the house, he could see the silhouette of someone getting killed. The receptionist transfers me the event number. Since it's a murder, I got to go take a look at what happened.
Choice 1 : Since it's a murder, we need to go and see the witness and the crime scene.
Once I arrived at the house in question, I saw a red car parked in front of it. There was a man in it, playing games on his phone. I knocked on the window, he lowered it. I asked him if he's the one who called 911 about a murder, he confirmed. I asked him to tell me more details about it. He told me that he parked in front of that house 50 minutes ago because he had to make a phone call, he usually never passes onto this street. He made the call and while talking, he looked around and saw what looked like a woman getting hit by a man with a stick. He gave the woman multiple shot with the stick before she fell on the ground. The perpetrator than ran quickly out of the house and then vanished in nature.
Choice 1 : Search the house.
Choice 2 : Search the neighberhood.
You decide to search the house. Good choice! Once you enter it, you find the body of a 40-year-old woman on the ground. She is the victim of this violent act, and she is dead. You also find the weapon ; a wooden stick. You search for more evidence : you find some fingerprints, drugs and a knife. You pack all of those things in a sterile plastic bag. You go out one the house, and you call an ambulance so the lady can be transported to the morgue. You go back to the man in the car and ask him if he can come with you to the police station.
Choice 1 : The man comes with you at the police station.
Choice 2 : The man goes back to his house but he gives you his phone number.
Once the man has given you his number, you go back to the police station. Since it's nearly the end of your shift, you go into the restroom to take off your uniform. Then, you begin investigating the objects and the fingerprints you found in the victim's house. You analyze them and try to find a correspondence in the criminal record of someone in the city. Turns out the fingerprint matches the witnesses fingerprints. You decide to call him so you guys can meet up, and you can arrest him for the murder of Natalie Chapman.
Choice 1 : You meet up with the witness.
Once in the police station, you and the witness sit down at a desk. You ask him about the hour of the murder, if he has a description of the suspect, by what way he ran away, if he knew the victim or the suspect, etc. After that, you question his alibi. You ask him to show you on his phone at what time he made his phone call. He doesn't want to show you. You don't insist, but you ask him to wait while you go to analyse the evidences you found in the house. Once you are done with the analyse, you realize that the fingerprints you found matches the witnesses one. You go back the desk to arrest him, but he's gone...
Choice 1 : You try to find the witness.
You found the witness a couple blocks away form the station, and you put him under arrest for the murder of Natalie Chapman. He accepts his faith, and he tells you that he's Natalie ex boyfriend, and that he killed her because she moved on from their relationship, and he did not move on. End of the story.

Instead of going into the house, you search the city for the suspect. Since you don't have a description, you can't find him. It's nearly the end of the shift, and you are tired, you go back to the police station and ask another agent and another investigator to do the job.
Choice 1 : You go back to your home.
I get called a couple hours later by my colleges. They explain to me that they arrested the man in the red car : the witness. Before leaving work, I gave my colleges the plastic bag with the evidences. They analyzed it and realized that the fingerprints match the one's from the witness. They find it with the record of the criminal in the city. This man has already been arrested for stalking and for selling illegal substances to minor before. Once my colleges realize that, they go back to the man's house and arrests him. Once they are back to the station, they ask him questions about the crime. He ends up pleading guilty : he killed the woman who is his ex-wife because she moves on from the relationship and not him. He thinks it's not fair, so he killed her.
