It's been two weeks since I arrived in Cambodia. I love the people and the country. I am having the best time of my life. I even made several friends here. A new friend of mine is leaving for Australia in two days.

I decided to do cadets during my years of waiting. It allowed me to have a foot in the door if I want to work for Montreal later. It's been two months since I started working. The only thing I don't appreciate much is the attitude of the police officer with whom I am sometimes paired up with. He is very inappropriate and disrespectful with citizens, and I don't think that's normal. I'm hesitant to talk about it because I wouldn't want to get fired.

I have been working as a cadet for the city of Montreal for a year now. I am grateful for this experience as it helped me learn the ropes for my future job. I think it's a valid opportunity that will serve me a lot. In a week, I start my training at the police academy.

I've been working at H&M for almost ten months and my boss is very satisfied. She therefore offered me the position of assistant manager in exchange for my committing to stay for the long term. The problem is that I start my training at the Police School in six months, and I don't want to stay long term. But, the position pays a lot more, so I could take advantage of it for a few weeks.

I regret not having been honest, and I hope that it will not harm me during the investigations to join the police. I apologized to my boss. I may intend to denounce this situation, but I have little evidence so, it would be difficult to prove, and I would not want to create friction with my colleagues.

Being a person of great integrity, I reported the situation to the director of the station. He investigated and sent our sergeant and our new lieutenant into ethics' proceedings. I got the job of lieutenant and our sergeant was replaced. The work climate is much better, and I am proud to have denounced this. I intend to end my career as a lieutenant.
