My last year at Ahuntsic College.

During my last year of college in my Social Science course, I felt a lot of pressure from everyone to apply at University. I applied in law at Sherbrooke University and in Neuropsychology at Montreal University. I got accepted in both programs. Which one should I choose?

Choice 1 : Go to Sherbrooke

Choice 2 : Stay in Montreal.

Is there a good and a bad path?

I always dream to study in a big city and go to the University of Montreal study in Neuropsychology because it's the only University that proposes this program.

This program is really contingent, and I am going for the big ride of getting a doctorate, so I'll need to study hard. Seriousness and discipline are required.

I decided to get out of my comfort zone and get out of Montreal. I was accepted in Law and my parents cannot be prouder of me, specially my father. To move out from my city to a place where I've never been can be really stressful and challenging. I am scared to be lonely, and I don't know if I made the right choice.

The student life at Sherbrooke is very nice and everyone is so sweet with you. You forget that you are alone without your family and that you need to be serious with this program.

I always wanted to go to Bali with some of my friends and discover some new landscapes. Bali seems to be a very great country for new travelers and young people.

I loved Bali so much that I decided to stay and enjoy the rest of my young years, but living there costs a certain price. Because of said prices, I decided to get a permanent job.

Even though life in Bali was exciting, I missed my friends and family too much to stay there indeterminately. I needed to come back to Montreal to see the people I cared most for.

Ever since I started working as a zookeeper in an exotic animal park in Bali, I learned a lot about the biodiversity extremely different here. I fell in love with the tropical breeds living in this area. The dreamy wildlife in the South-East Asian country had me apply for an Indonesian citizenship to fulfill my life-long dream of living here.

Study to become a lawyer.

Becoming a lawyer was a dream of mine ever since I knew what lawyers did. Finding justice for the people is a passion of mine, hence wanting to be an attorney. After I have successfully finishing at The University of Sherbrooke and finally get the bar, I was engaged by the government for the DYP to protect the children.

Life as a lawyer is exactly what I thought it would be. I get to defend the unfortunate children of the province, all while making a difference in their lives.

As it turns out, being a lawyer is not what I expected it to be. Being an attorney is not a career to people like me who are not cut out for a desk job. Going to the tribunal and not have the final decision because a judge told you so is very irritating and frustrating.

After seeing what a horrible job was to be a lawyer, I got depressed and became anxious. I had no longer any landmarks and felt lost. My plan failed, and I wasn't prepared to be deceived. I had no plan b, and I felt like no one understood me. I started using drugs and alcohol to drown my failure and became an addict.

After 8 years of study, I've finally become a neuropsychologist. This job is so interesting, and I get to learn new things every day. The brain has a lot of knowledge, and I'm feeling fully blooming. The only failing in my life is not having a family, but I have a boyfriend that I love very much.

I have decided to create a family with my boyfriend, and it is by far the most stressful experience, but I love it so much. I have 2 kids on my own, and they make my everyday life brighter. I now have a beautiful family, and I will live a long and loving life.

Finally I've made my decision too late, and I was not able to have kids because of my age. This new breaks me, and my couple started to falter. Eventually my boyfriend and I broke up, and I became a workaholic to not feel depressed and alone. I've finished my life with a cat, and no one to love me.
