It was the end of high school. I wasn't sure what to do next. I knew I either wanted to study in Psychology or in Police Technology. Which should I choose?
Choice 1 : Study in Psychology.
Choice 2 : Study in Police Technology.
After some thought, I decided to study in Psychology. The human mind truly amazed me, and I wanted to know everything about it. Though I knew in which program I wanted to study, I wasn't sure where to study. Nevertheless, two choices were available to me. I could go to Ahuntsic College since it's closer to my house. I could also go to Montmorency College since all of my friends are there. Where should I study?
Choice 1 : Study Psychology at Ahuntsic College.
Choice 2 : Study Psychology at Montmorency College.
After some thought, I decided I needed a lot of action in my life. I felt the need to protect my city. I knew I wanted to become a police officer, but I wasn't sure where to study. I could either go to Ahuntsic College or to Montmorency College. I can't make up my mind. Which should I choose?
Choice 1 : Study Police Technology at Ahuntsic College.
Choice 2 : Study Police Technology at Montmorency College.
I decided to go to Ahuntsic College. I had to make new friends, but at least it was only a 10-minute walk from my house. I loved studying there. I never did a cursory job in my classes, so I pulled off straight A's and graduated with honors. After 3 great years in college and 9 more years in university, I graduated from Psychology. Now, I can apply for a job that will lead me to a career as a psychologist.
Choice 1 : Apply to Sainte-Justine Hospital.
Choice 2 : Apply to Saint-Jean-de-Bréboeuf elementary school.
I decided to go to Montmorency College. I absolutely hated it. All of my friends were there, but the teachers were so strict in the way they corrected my exams. It was maddening. No matter how much I studied or how much effort I put into my work, I never got straight A's. But because of my time management skills, I was able to pull off a passing grade in all of my courses. I knew I had to get out of that college.
Choice 1 : Study in Psychology.
It has always been my dream to work for the Sainte-Justine Hospital. I am now officially a trainee, and I am doing my on-the-job training so that I can learn the ropes. It is not very easy, but I am getting the hang of it. The nice woman at HR has asked me where I wanted to work next. Neither position comes with a premium wage. I can't make up my mind. Which should I choose?
Choice 1 : Work at the Jewish Hospital.
Choice 2 : Work at the Montreal General Hospital.
I thought I would love being a psychologist, but working with hyperactive kids and children with learning disorders made me realize that I have absolutely no patience with people. I truly don't understand how anyone could enjoy working daily with people who are mentally ill. This truly was a dead-end-job. I really made the wrong choice here. I think I should change careers.
Choice 1 : My last year in high school.
I decided to study at Ahuntsic College. This was the worst idea I've ever had in my life. I got bullied so much that I couldn't bring myself to go to class. This made me fail all of my classes. I had no choice but to go to another school.
Choice 1 : Study in Police Technology.
I decided to study Police Technology at Montmorency College. Everything was going great, until an active shooter came to school. I thought that because I was studying Police Technology, I could take care of this situation myself. That was a very wrong assumption. I tried to fight the active shooter, but I got shot and a bullet went through my heart. I died.
Choice 1 : My last year in high school.
I chose to work as a psychologist at the Jewish Hospital. This job requires overtime and a good knowledge of English. Luckily, everything I learned in my college English courses will come in handy while talking with Anglophones. Despite the office politics, I try not to get sucked up in their dramas and office intrigues. After a difficult day at work filled with drudgery and alienation, my boss asked for some advice. He told me he wasn't sure if he should fire my colleague Karen because of the way she's constantly late. I said, '' If I were you, I would'' ...
Choice 1 : Fire Karen.
Choice 2 : Not fire Karen.
I chose to work as a psychologist at the Montreal General Hospital. I quickly realized that there are cliques here. I tried being friends with everyone, but I quickly realized it was impossible. I had to make a choice. I could either be friends with the cool and mean psychologists, or with the nerdy psychologists.
Choice 1 : Be friends with the cool and mean psychologists.
Choice 2 : Be friends with the nerdy psychologists.
After Karen was fired, everyone somehow knew that I helped my boss decide. So, everyone started to blame it on me. I became the new hot topic at work. It was horrible. People were gossiping about me all the time. I couldn't take two steps at work without feeling everyone's eyes on me. I constantly heard people whispering. I tried talking to HR, but they were of no help. I knew I either had to quit my job or confront everyone that's gossiping about me.
Choice 1 : Quit my job.
Choice 2 : Confront everyone that's gossiping about me.
I told my boss not to fire Karen. When Karen learned that I was the one who told my boss not to fire her, she became my friend. After some time, we realized that this job at the Jewish Hospital was a dead-end-job. There weren't any promotions we could get. By staying here, we were going to be stuck in the same position until retirement. I couldn't do that, so I decided to work somewhere else instead.
Choice 1 : Work at the Montreal General Hospital.
I chose to quit my job. I knew that confronting everyone would only make people hate me even more. Now, I have to look for another place to work at.
Choice 1 : Work at the Montreal General Hospital.
I decided to confront everyone. When I explained the situation to them, they started laughing in my face. They told me that it was still all my fault that Karen got fired. They told me that they would make every single day like living hell. I was so scared that my only option was to quit this job and find somewhere else to work at.
Choice 1 : Work at the Montreal General Hospital.
I decided to become friends with the cool and mean psychologists. I could already feel the power and the sass coming into me. I knew that it wasn't right to be mean, but I would rather bully others than be the one getting bullied. After a long day at work, my boss told me that I got a promotion with a better wage. I had a chance to become an assistant manager of the Psychology Department. Should I take the promotion?
Choice 1 : Take the promotion.
Choice 2 : Don't take the promotion.
I befriended the nerdy girls. I quickly realized why there were always together. They were so boring that nobody else wanted to be friends with them. I couldn't stand them, so I became friends with the cool and mean girls instead.
Choice 1 : Be friends with the cool and mean psychologists.
I took the promotion, obviously. After just a week of being an assistant manager, I realized that this was way harder than I expected. Instead of working with patients, I filled so many papers and signed so many documents. This wasn't how it was supposed to go! I wasn't even doing the job I studied for. I should tell my boss that I want my old job back.
Choice 1 : Don't take the promotion.
Being assistant manager looks like it's a very hard job. I don't think that's what I want to be doing for the rest of my life. After working 30 years in the same position, I think I'm ready to retire and travel across the world. Or I could retire in 5 years and make more money. Which should I choose?
Choice 1 : Retire now.
Choice 2 : Retire in 5 years.
I think it's better for myself to retire now. I'm getting old, and I want to spend the rest of my life collecting precious moments. I want to travel everywhere, and spend time with my grandchildren. I lived a happy working life.

Though my body was getting older by the day, I decided to work for a few more years to save more money. This was a very bad idea, because my body and my health couldn't handle it. I died of a cardiac arrest during my working shift.
