I have just completed my college degree in Natural Science. So, I have a choice to make for my future.

Choice 1 : Go to Laval University in Occupational Therapy.

Choice 2 : Pursue my hockey career by going to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Choice 3 : Buy a Lotto Quebec ticket and win the 125 million jackpots.

Go to Laval University in Occupational Therapy.

I am accepted into the Occupational Therapy program at Laval University. A program that interests me enormously, and which is accessible with the R Rating that I managed to obtain at College. Medicine is still a career of great interest to me. After a few semesters at the University passed, and I love occupational therapy. I get an excellent grade, and I have the possibility of changing programs and going into medicine. Should I give it a shot in medicine, risk regretting it, and add several years of study? Or, stay in the occupational therapy program, but have the possibility of graduating soon and being able to enter the job market, but also have the regret of not going see the medical program?

Going to play hockey in the United States is a big dream for me. It's the opportunity to pursue my passion at an even more competitive level than the one I am playing. It's also a chance for me to become bilingual, another of my dreams. Finally, going to study in the United States offers me the possibility of starting a career in medicine, since the Universities do not use the R score to accept students like the universities of Quebec, but only the average of their mark. Finally, the perfect mix of my two centers of interest. After a year spent there, I perform so well that a Division 1 team, that of Boston University, approaches me. However, if I leave the University of Wisconsin, where currently, I will not be able to continue the medical program at Boston University because it does not offer this program. What should I do? Stay and continue medicine or go play hockey at a better level?

I have always been attracted by business creation, becoming an entrepreneur, finance, real estate projects, and others. Winning a huge amount like this would give me the chance to go into business, a chance I couldn't miss. However, the adventurer's life is still an unknown experience for me. It would take me out of my comfort zone either way. So, I am caught between two choices, in both cases, I want my money to benefit. I'm caught between investing the vast majority of my money and taking a small part of it to go on a backpacking trip alone or investing my money in the stock market and starting a business project. With such a large amount of money, should I live the life of an adventurer and invest my money or live 100% the life of an entrepreneur?

I finally decided to go to South Africa. A few days pass, and I meet a group of young people my age. They quickly become my friends. Arriving at the beach, everything is fine. The temperature is incredible. It is 30 degrees and the sea water is turquoise. I meet a very charming young boy of my age. He comes from Ontario. We talk all day and notice that we have a lot in common. Before returning to the hostel where I'm staying, he asks me for my Snapchat. Arriving at the inn, I notice that he offers to go to dinner with him! Do I accept or not?

I finally decided to stay at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and I'm doing extremely well. After 4 years of study, I finally got my medical degree. I now have to do the other four years of residencies before I can practice my profession alone. (The four years of residency are four years when freshly graduated doctors operate on patients with doctors who have several years of seniority.) Several doctors decide to go and do these four years in another country to acquire new techniques and knowledge medical. So, that's what I do! France and Dubai have always been places that have interested me. Where should I go?

Choice 1 : Go to Dubai.

I finally arrived in Boston. I have a residence, and I am very well-settled and in the best physical shape, I have ever been in my life. So, comes the time for the first part. Unfortunately, after a few sequences in the game, a player collides with me, and it's the fatal blow. The inner ligament of my right knee is torn. So, I have to have emergency surgery, and I can't play hockey for at least a year until my knees heal. Within a year, the team will have new players, so my place is very uncertain. Do I stay to have surgery and do everything I can get back to the game or do I go back to my parents to rest?

During the motocross lap, we have a serious accident. Fortunately, I have nothing, but my 3 other friends are seriously injured. Two of them have open wounds on one of their arms and one of their legs, while my other companion is unconscious. I call the emergency services and then try to tourniquet my friends who have a lot of blood. I even think he has an internal hemorrhage. Help arrives, and I explain to them that it is necessary to bring my 3 friends to the emergency room so that they are hospitalized urgently. After this accident, I realize that treating people is really what I want to do in life, so I go back to Quebec and I find myself in the same situation as when I left college.

However, I find that I still lack some knowledge and skills in speaking English. So, I decide to go back to school, and I think of going to study English. This is how I find myself in the same situation when I graduated from College.

I created my clothing brand, but unfortunately, my brand is not all the rage! I invest a lot of money, but I end up going bankrupt. I am lost and desperate. So, I'm going back to live with my parents and I'm thinking of going back to school. This is how the story begins again in a certain sense.

I am starting the medical program and everything are going extremely well. I love this. I graduated, and I must now choose my master's specialty, that is to say in which field I wish to operate. My two favorite fields are plastic surgery and anesthesiology. Which specialty should I choose?

Plastic Surgery.

Plastic surgery is a wise choice since there are a lot of plastic surgeons missing and there is a lot of work to do. I love plastic surgery because it allows me to treat several breast cancers. Indeed, it is after having performed partial or complete mastectomies or by removing the chain of lymph nodes that I can overcome the cancer of several women and thus proceed with the reconstruction. This work brings me a lot of satisfaction since it restores femininity to women. Thereafter, I have more than 4 years of residence. I don't regret at all having extended my university career by several years to become a doctor because it bothers me enormously.

Anesthesiology.

Anesthesiology is an equally interesting specialty. I love this specialty because it allows you to see all kinds of surgery. Indeed, the anesthesiologist is the one who puts patients to sleep or freezes them. We call this general anesthesia, anesthesia where the patient is completely asleep, or regional anesthesia where only part of the patient's body is frozen. Thereafter, I have more than 4 years of residence. Once again, I do not regret, in any case, having extended my university course to become an anesthesiologist.

I decide to be optimistic and have the operation and try to recover as quickly as possible to return to the game. The operation went well and the doctor who treats me gives me 8 months of convalescence at least before starting again to play Hockey. Eight months pass and I regain my physical form. When I return to the game, other players better than me have taken my place. I don't have a lot of ice time. Coaches don't dress me to play on the ice anymore. I look at the parts of the stands. I am very sad. I decide to go back to my parents in Quebec.

I arrive home, and I am extremely happy to find my loved ones. I rest a lot, and I decide to have my surgery in Quebec. I can't do any physical activity for 8 months too. I find myself an online job at Desjardins, but I plan to return to school within the next year.

I finally chose Dubai. There, the operating techniques are very different from those in Quebec. I learned a lot of things that I treasured in my memory. I finally returned to make a career in Quebec in order to share the knowledge I have acquired.

I finally chose to go to France. The operating techniques are very similar to those in Quebec. I'm still learning a few things. A few years pass, and I meet a young doctor, and we fall in love. At the end of the 4 years of residence, he decides to come back to Quebec with me. We both work for the CHU of Quebec.

I decide to work for the CHU de Quebec. The working conditions are not the best, on the other hand, I have the possibility of having a variety of consultations. Burn victims, children with disabilities, hand emergencies, the elderly, etc. I love what I do, and I suggest this choice of profession to all those who like to help and care for people by giving them a better quality of life.

I decide to open my private occupational therapy clinic, and I specialize in hand emergencies. My clinic is called " Dexterity Clinic ". I see all kinds of patients. Many of them are people who have not had surgery but have lost mobility in their hands or fingers. Nevertheless, the vast majority of patients have resorted to an operation because they had an accident at work (open wound, rupture of tendons, ligaments, and nerves, or amputation.) The clinic offers recovery plans, which pass through several weekly meetings, exercises, and sometimes fixed or mobile splints. I also suggest this profession to anyone interested in improving the quality of life of others.
