The beginning.

I am finishing college this year, and I now have to choose what I do next. I have to decide if I go to university or, if I follow my dream.

Choice 1 : Go to medicine

Choice 2 : Traveling.

I now have to choose which university to go. I have three options, but I really don't know which one I should choose since the differences between each medicine's programs. In which city would I like to live?

Choice 1 : Quebec.

Choice 2 : Sherbrooke.

Choice 3 : Montreal.

Traveling.

For my first trip, I really want to enjoy it and don't have to deal with problems. Who should I leave with?

Choice 1 : My family.

Choice 2 : My friends.

Choice 3 : Traveling alone.

I am in the medicine program at UdeS.

After four years in the program, I now have to choose a specialty for my residency. I did a few internships, and I got two options.

Choice 1 : Cardiology.

Choice 2 : Neurology.

Going to Laval University.

I don't know anybody in Quebec. I feel alone, but I also know that if I take some of my time to make new friends, I will have to study harder.

Choice 1 : Make new friends.

Choice 2 : Focus on my studies.

I meet a partner. I really love him, but he does not understand that my studies are important for me, and he is ready to have a family.

Choice 1 : Drop out and start a family with the love of my life.

Choice 2 : Stop the relationship and focus on my studies.

I buy a cat to have some company. It really helps me to be happy, and I now have to choose the specialty I want to go in.

Choice 1 : Surgery.

Choice 2 : Pediatrics.

At this university, I can choose between two campus. I can go to Trois-Rivieres and be closer to my family, or go to Montreal and live in a big city.

Choice 1 : Go to Trois-Rivieres.

Choice 2 : Go to Montreal.

Since I am closer to my family, I can go see them every weekend, but I would lose some studying time.

Choice 1 : See my family every weekend.

Choice 2 : Study harder.

Being a student in Montreal can be very hard when you don't have a job. I do not have enough money to pay for y apartment, my food and my school supplies.

Choice 1 : Find a job.

Choice 2 : Finish my studies at another university.

Traveling with my family.

My family let me decide where we are going for our first trip. I would like to do a road trip, but also visit my own country.

Choice 1 : Road trip in the United States.

Choice 2 : Going to Ottawa.

Traveling with my friends.

I dream to go to a country where the first language is Spanish. Since me and my friends know how to speak in this language, this is the opportunity to realize my dream.

Choice 1 : Go to Mexico.

Choice 2 : Go to Argentina.

My friends and I do not want to live the same trip. I want to visit Mexico and discover a new culture, but all they want to do is party.

Choice 1 : Continue my trip alone and visit Mexico.

Choice 2 : Stay with my friends and party.

Choice 1 : Go to Australia.

Choice 2 : Go to Costa Rica.

Being in Australia costs way more than I thought. I do not have enough money to buy some food and sleep in a bed.

I see that people here do not have the same quality of life than me in Canada. Should I follow my plan or not?

Choice 1 : Follow my plan and visit Costa Rica.

Going to Ottawa.

In Ottawa, I visit the Canadian War Museum. It is November 11th, and I learn a lot of things about this special day. In fact, at 11:11 a.m., I can see the sun comes on the tombstone of the Unknown Soldier. I also go to the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. To see a lot of people there make me realize how the sacrifice of the soldiers during the First and Second World War was big and how they have changed my life. Where should my family and I go next?

I now have to choose in which hospital I will go do my residency program in cardiology.

Choice 1 : Hotel-Dieu of Quebec.

Choice 2 : Go to Child Jesus Hospital.

I have a patient with tetralogy of Fallot, a disease that does not allow blood to circulate properly between the heart and the lungs. I have the opportunity to be in the operating room and assist the surgeon.

Choice 1 : Ask the surgeon to do the stitches.

The surgeon accepted! I now have to be very careful, since the patient is a child. When I am almost done, I am looking at the surgeon, and he says that I am now at the most difficult part, finish the stitches.

Choice 1 : Ask my teacher to finish the stitches.

I pulled too hard at the end and the thread broke. The surgeon asks me to move away from the table and go wash my hands. He will finish it himself, but he told me that everybody has done this mistake, and I will learn from it.

Choice 1 : Be sad.

Choice 2 : Accept my mistake and do better next time.
