Hi! I have now graduated from my studies, which means I am now ready to chose what I want my life to look like. I have two choices for my next year's project. I can either prioritize myself by following my heart or choose to continue my studies and achieve everything I have worked for for so many years.
Choice 1 : Taking a Sabbatical Year.

I want to learn more about myself and there are two ways to achieve that result. Travelling is a great way to discover the world and open your eyes on many things. I like to discover different landscapes, and I am thinking about building up my resiliency trough obstacles from this trip. And yet, I have dreams that I want to achieve while I have all the opportunities in front of me.

I want to continue my studies and to work hard on my career. I now have to choose in which university I want to study. University Laval is the nearest university and is a great place to meet people, but there is also the University of Sherbrooke that is known for it's great program even though it is farther.

I want to travel to learn more about myself and about the world. I have the choice to discover different parts of the world that intrigue me. I can either travel with a group of friends to London and discover the city or leave by myself to India for a volunteering trip. Both of the options are wonderful, but I can do only one of those.

Two of my dearest dreams are to become either a baker or a writer. Becoming a baker is a way for me to express through food the artist I have in me. As for the writing, I believe the stories I create are meant to be read.

In University Laval, there are two programs that are interesting me. The first one, psychology, may be hard because of the duration of the program but is very interesting. The second one, occupational therapy, is very gratifying but may be hard physically.

I am going to Sherbrooke! That is wonderful, but now I got to choose what I want to study there. The physiotherapy classes sound very promising, but less difficult than the other option, which is architecture. This option is completely different, but may be a great challenge.

The year's up! After one year in India, I have completed the volunteering program. I really like the country, and it's people, but I miss home a little. The car is ready to leave for the airport, but I still have time to make up my mind.

I absolutely love this city! The people are so nice and welcoming! I almost feel home. Talking about home, my fly is leaving tomorrow at noon. I am missing my old home and my family, but I am also wondering about staying for a little longer. I know that there is a lovely literary program that is very interesting. What about trying out this?

I really want to become a great baker. If I want to publicize my talents, I need to create my own reputation. Netflix seems to be a great opportunity to meet other passionate people and to win money. I am also considering the idea of starting my own bakery and not be depending on anyone.

I want to write a story who is all from my head, but I need to share that story. I can present it to a publishing house who has everything to achieve that goal, or I can do it my myself online.

Psychology! How difficult it is! I am failing so many courses! I can continue to try to upgrade my grades or give up on everything and take a leave of absence.

I now have completed my studies! What a fulfillment! I am looking forward to help people through their rehabilitation and the improvement of their motility faculties. I am ready to decide how to continue my life. Starting a family with my boyfriend seems to be a great idea as we are still young and healthy. Otherwise, I am thinking about creating a career of my own by starting my own occupational therapy company where I want to focus especially on the coordination, the proprioception and the psycho motor development of young people.

I am now reading to choose where I want to practice physiotherapy. My two bigger interest are towards the sport and the health. I have the opportunity to work with a professional football team as their official physiotherapist and to follow them around the world for their games. My other opportunity is to work in a hospital in oncology care, which is a great way to help my community.

The interview is a failure! They don't like my story. I am so ashamed of what people are thinking of me! I feel unworthy of everything. But, I do know that shame is a social emotion who is the result of what I think people are expecting. I know I can overwhelm this situation, I just need time for myself.

I concentrate all of my energy on my career to achieve my goals. I have my own clinic where I am happy to work every day. I usually work with young clients to improve some of their skills such as the motor skills, the muscle tone, and the sensory system. I am also specialized in the Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), and the Developmental Motor Coordination Disorder. Also, I need to make plans of what I am expecting from myself and to draw limits because otherwise I would spend all of my time working. To improve my work-life balance, I have a lunch break every day, so I don't do overtime, and I often say "no" to some requests when I think it is too much on my shoulders. This is how I deal with my life and my responsibilities. Finally, communication at work is also a key to success as well as time management.

I now have a family. Two little boys which are definitely monsters and a little girl of twelve months. Sometimes, my work knowledge are coming up in my memory and are helping me teach some things to my kids, such as the prone and the supine positions. It also guides me trough some of the difficulties they are facing, such as the coordination which may be a difficulty sometimes. It is not always easy to find a balance between the time I want to invest in my family and the time I need to put in my job. To improve my situation, I set specific work hours with my boss which gives me time to grab the kids from the daycare every day. I also determine achievable goals with my husband for how we want our family to work through our job responsibilities. Finally, I take proper breaks to make sure I don't make a burn-out from the stress. All of this makes me able to keep a great work-life balance.

I have worked for a professional football team for seven years now. I am now practicing different aspects of the profession in pairs with an occupational therapist for another great team. We are working on the bilateral and the binocular system, on the motility, the auditory system, the coordination, the lateraling side of the movements, and the sensory environment. I really appreciate the cooperation between the two different professions.

Working in oncology care for my internship is not always an easy job training. Some days, it is very hard to keep my focus on the positive aspects of my life. The job required a good resiliency from me, which is the capacity to recover from tough events. Luckily, I think I am great at this. Sometimes, I work with some occupational therapists. I need them for specific tasks as hypersensitivity link to the chemo treatment, the rehabilitation, the hypo-reactivity and finally to build exercises programs. A healthy workplace is essential if we want to provide a great health care. To conclude, I like my job and what I am taking out of it, even if it is not always easy.

Since I am no longer studying Psychology, I have reached out to a volunteering organism. I really like it out there, and it gives me another view on the world.
