The ArtScience Museum, built by Moshe Safdie and dubbed "The Welcoming Hand of Singapore" by Las Vegas Sands chairman Sheldon Adelson, is anchored by a round base in the middle, with ten extensions dubbed "fingers." Each finger's design concept symbolizes numerous gallery spaces with skylights at the "fingertips," which provide as sustainable illumination for the curved internal walls.
