Bye bye high school!

I have been five years in high school. Now, it is time to choose in which field I want to continue.

Choice 1 : I continue to CSTJ in Social Sciences.

Choice 2 : I continue to CSTJ in Sciences.

Social Sciences.

I am starting my first session in Social Sciences. I have many courses that I don't like. For example, I have a psychology, a history and a geographic courses. What should I do next?

Choice 1 : I continue my session and I try to motivate myself.

Choice 2 : I decide to change my field of study. I continue in Sciences.

Social Sciences 2.

Despite my Straight A's in high school, I am failing my first session.I find that my courses are maddening. I am not able to pull off as the years before. I always put aside my homework, and I have some difficulty having good time management because I am not motivated. Social Sciences are not my field of study. I should have chosen something else.

Choice 1 : Restart the story.

Sciences.

I really like my courses. I think that Chemistry, Physic, Mathematics and Biology are very interesting. Now, I know in what field of study I want to continue. I want to continue in one of the four sciences, but especially in Chemistry or in Biology.

Choice 1 : I decide to continue to the university in a medical school.

Choice 2 : My chemical teachers were very nice, and they gave me interest in chemistry. So, I should continue in this way.

A sabbatical year for myself.

My two years of Sciences were very stressful. My courses took a lot of my energy. I know that I want to do something different that to go to school, but I am not sure how I want to use my next year. What should I do?

Choice 1 : I should go on a one-year trip.

Choice 2 : I should stay at home to take time with my family and to work to give me some money for university next year.

Chemistry school.

My courses are very interesting. I have to work a lot, but I am seeing this as a hobby more than a work. Next year, I have to choose in what field I want to continue. I really like Biochemistry because I can help the Earth. In the other case, working for a pharmaceutical company will bring me better benefits, as a pension and a bigger wage. What should I do?

Choice 1 : I should continue in Biochemistry.

Choice 2 : I should continue in Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

Medical school.

I just receive my response for University Admissions and I can't continue in a Medical school the next year because the universities refuse my application. In the other side, my Chemistry teachers made chemistry very interesting, but my session in Sciences take me a lot of energy. What should I do?

Choice 1 : I should take a sabbatical year to focus on what a want to do in the future.

Choice 2 : I should continue with my second choice, Chemistry.

A one-year trip!

I decide to go on a trip. I have bought an old Volkswagen camper, and I renovate it to go on a trip around the Americas. It is very interesting to visit a lot of country. After that, I don't know what I want to do. What should I do?

Choice 1 : I should return to school in Chemistry.

Choice 2 : I really liked my trip, and I don't want to return to school. I should start to work.

A relaxing year at home!

I decide to take this year to relax, to work to have money for my future and to gain experience. This break brings me a lot of experience, and I am not sure that I want to continue to the university. In the other case, I really like to study. What should I do?

Choice 1 : I want to return at university in Chemistry.

Choice 2 : I don't want to return at school. I like working, and I should continue in this way.

Continue to work.

I start to work with my grandfather. He is working in the construction, and he does some projects of renovation. I like it because I can choose my own schedule and how much time I work per day and per week. Later, I'll take the control of the company because my grandfather will retire.

Choice 1 : After 40 years with my company, I think it is time to take time for myself.

Retirement.

Just before my retirement, I paid completely my mortgage. Because I set aside a lot of my money, I can retire, and I decide to go living in a forest, far away of the city and the sound of the trucks and the cars.

Biochemistry.

I really like Biochemistry. It is interesting to learn how to use our knowledge to save the planet. I am learning how to clean up a polluted river, or a polluted ground. The interactions in our body, it is Biochemistry. This is the kind of courses that I have. After my graduation, I have two option that interest me. What should I do?

Choice 1 : I should start my own business.

Choice 2 : I want to work for the government.

Start business.

I start my own company. It becomes quickly an important company and the company has a lot of contract. As an employee, I often work for the government for some project, as a clearance of some rivers and lakes. My company becomes one of the most implicated in Quebec. After more than 30 years of service, I sell it for a lot.

Choice 1 : Now, it is time to take some time for myself.

Retirement.

With the sale of my company, I decide to retire near the St-Laurent. I build my own mansion and I live my last days on the side of the river, with my family.

Public work.

I start to work for a little city in the north of the Laurentians. I quickly learn the ropes and my OJT was very successful. Now, I know all the ins-and-outs of my job. My work doesn't bring me a big wage, but I am happy with it, and I have everything I want.

Choice 1 : With my pension, I can retire after 35 years.

Retirement.

Unfortunately, working with chemical products for several years brings me a lot of health problems. I am not sure I have a lot to live, because I have some difficulty to be autonomous, and I am now living in a retirement home, where I can have some help if I need it. The only thing I want now, it is to see my grandchildren growing up.

Choice 1 : Try another story.

Pharmaceutical.

I start to work for Bausch Health. I am part of the team that is working on the development of new drugs that can save many lives. The team is very nice, I complete my internship after six months, and I can now develop some molecules with a group of four colleagues.

Choice 1 : I want to continue to work for this company because I really like it.

Discover a new molecule.

During my research, I synthesize a new molecule for a new drug against cancers. Unfortunately, the leaders of the company don't choose mine to continue the clinical trials. I really think that my molecule can be phenomenal, but I don't want to lose all of my experiences. What should I do?

Choice 1 : I don't want to lose all of my advantages with the company. So, I give up with this molecule.

Choice 2 : I think that my molecule in very promising. I want to try my luck.

Giving up.

I decide to continue to develop some new molecules that can also help. I regret having giving up, but I think it was the best decision to be sure to have a cosy retirement without money problem.

Choice 1 : After 35 years as a chemist, I want to retire.

Retirement.

With my pension and my hard work, I can retire after many years of service. I buy a cottage near a lake, and I do some hiking. I also buy an off-road vehicle, and I like to go on the trails. But what I like the most, it is when my family comes on Saturday's night.

Start business.

I encounter a rich man that likes to invest in risk capital. He decides to invest in my project, and it gives me all I need to continue to develop the medication. It works, because the treatments are working well on patients that have a cancer and the investments bring ten times more money.

Choice 1 : After several years of hard work, I can finally sell my company and retire young.

Retirement.

When I sold my company, I did a lot of money. When I was in high school, I did a trip to Mexico, and I liked it. So, I decide to move to Mexico and to live my last days far away of the snow and the cold winters.
