I just finish my Cegep program. I finish my technique in computer science at Ahuntsic College. I want to work as a security architect, which main jobs is to protect the data from an operating system from a hacker or virus. After multiple hours of thinking, I have now decided my multiple career path choices for the futures. Which one should I pick?

Working in the army is a really beneficial for my future. The work given is to protect the government database, making sure that no information has been leaked. It gives great advantages since we are working for the government, like retiring early, getting help to pay the bills, paying fewer taxes, etc... Some downside of working in the army is that I could get deployed at any moment, if need it too and that we got to stay in shape, so we got to stop bad habits (eating junk food, stop smoking, stop drinking, etc.).

Working for a private company is another career path. Since I'm working for a private company I have better individual advantage, like a better salary, annual bonuses, better insurance coverage, vacation time, more advancement opportunity, etc... It can also come with disadvantage, such poor management, we are a smaller team, and the company could close at any time.

Working in an office is another career path. It's the same concept of working for a private company, except that this is not a private company. It can be all kind of company, from business to website. This career path has multiple pros and cons, such as other career path. Pros for this career path is that you are working with a bigger team then working for a private company; they also give you life stability, and it's harder for a company to bankrupt, unlike a private one. The cons for working in a private company is that there's a lot of distraction since we are working with other employees, there's more stress or anxiety, lack of privacy, and you have the same privilege as other employees, since companies can't afford to treat everyone better, like a private company.

As other career paths, this one has its own pros and cons. Having a private company means you work when you want, you choose your own vacation; your shifts are really flexible. Also, you can work from home. One of the main cons of creating your own company is the financial risk, the stress, undesirable duties, etc...
