It's your first day at work! You decide to look around when someone says your name. It's your boss! He wants to ask you who you think would be the best partner for you.

Choice 1 : You know your best friend was hired for this job so you choose him instantly.

Choice 2 : You ask your boss to pair you with someone who is further along on the job training than you.

Your boss considered your request, and he matched you with your long-time friend! You both are so excited about this! Throughout your first day, you both attend multiple pieces of training concerning reanimation, new medical equipment, and new techniques. Although you have difficulties staying focused since you both like to joke around and take things not seriously. After this first exhausting day, your friend asks you if you want to go to a bar with him, knowing you both work tomorrow.

Choice 1 : You decide to go with your friend to the bar.

Choice 2 : You decide to be smart and to decline his offer for tonight.

That night, you both go to the bar and drink a lot. You come back to your house drunk at four o'clock in the morning. You wake up at six, feeling sick from drinking that much beer the night before. As soon as you start your shift, you get a call for an emergency call. The victim is currently having a stroke! You get there as soon as you can and start doing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. You start feeling sick again while doing it. You throw up everywhere and stop massaging the patient's thorax. Your friend now does maneuver alone on the patient.

The boss thinks it's a great idea to pair you with a more experienced paramedic. He pairs you with a nice-looking girl who has worked in the field for over five years. You think she's attractive, and you're interested in a romantic way.

You're officially going on a date with her! You prepare yourself, and as you pick her up at her house, you receive a call from your boss. There are not enough paramedics that showed up to work, so he's asking you if you can cover their shift for him.

Choice 2 : You're being a great worker, and you decide to go to work.

You go on the date with her.

You go to a fancy restaurant. As you are eating, you see her choking on her food. You try to help her get it out of her throat, but it doesn't work. You ask someone to call for paramedics, but there wasn't enough paramedic this day, and the girl dies choking on her steak.

You decline his offer and go back home to get some rest. You wake up at six o'clock and go to work. At work, they assign you to an emergency call. Someone is having a stroke! You go to the location of the call within a couple of minutes and start doing maneuvers. Your friend thinks you should intubate the victim, but you don't think it’s a good idea.

You decide that your friend probably knows what he's telling you. After all, he was the best in your class! You intubate the patient, but you realize that the air isn't getting to their lungs properly. You then realize that he has undergone a tracheotomy which renders him incapable of being intubated. The patient could not breathe for the last few minutes. Your trust in your inexperienced friend costs your patient's life.

You decide to not intubate the patient. Your instinct is telling you to ventilate him with a pocket mask instead. You start to ventilate him and realize the air is correctly going in his lungs! You finish your intervention and leave the patient at the hospital. Your boss congratulates you both. After all, you're making a great team together!

You decide to give your 110%. After all, it's the life of a person that is on the line. You fight your sickness and your nausea and continue doing the CPR. Unfortunately, the thoracic compression you are doing isn't adequate. You end up killing the person instead of helping that person. Next time you go out to drink, remember to drink moderately!
