I just graduate from secondary school. I want to be a civil engineer, and I will study in civil engineering at Montmorency College. It's also the closest college to my house. Which is a big plus.

I just graduate from secondary school. I want to be a civil engineer, and I will study in civil engineering at Three-Rivers College. This school is very, very far from my house. So, I will not be able to go to this school by bus while living in Laval.

I moved away from parents because I wanted to be close to school. After a few years, I received my bachelor degree in civil engineering.

Beginning of my Career.

I was getting tired of school, and I wanted to test drive this job. So after college, I started my career. I was really motivated and even worked overtime.

During my time in college, I was a great student. Some of my teachers even viewed me as a straight A's student. I was accepted in my dream school manly because of my grade. I was really happy when I found out this news.

Struggling at Work.

College was very difficult, but I still graduate. I decide to work instead of going to university. I didn't remember my studies from college, and I struggle a lot during my job.

Sherbrooke University.

I moved from Laval to Quebec City to continue my studies at Sherbrooke University. It was relatively easy because I have family and friends that live in that city.

I'm used to reading book in English, listen to Youtube video in English or even watch TV in English. But I have never studied at an English School. Concordia University is an English school. This will be a great challenge for me.

I stayed in university to learn new, useful skills for my future job. I was seen more valuable, and I had a better wage than the rest of my coworker once I started working.

Start to Work.

School was becoming too boring for me. I didn't like to read book all day every day. I learned better when I was active more than passive. So, after my college graduation, I started working.

I liked my job, but I wanted more money. It wasn't possible because I only held the title of "technician". So, I started university. Fasts forward a few years, I completed my bachelor degree, and I held a better rank in the company, I had more responsibilities, more power and earn more money.

Injury During an Internship.

During an internship, I injured myself with a hammer. I dislocated my shoulder. I couldn't continue my internship for weeks.

Great Internship.

As a trainee, my trainer never undermined me. I learn the ins-and-outs of the job, its drawback... Those lessons came in handy after university. I more than ready to start my career and I felt very confident in my abilities. The time passed with my trainer was worthwhile.

During my internship, a lot of tools (putty knife, spirit level, wheel barrow...) were stolen. We found out one of my coworkers was the perpetrator of those stealing event. After graduation, there was a vacant position, and I was hired.

I was struggling at school. One of my teachers noticed my efforts and gave me some advice about a lot of things. This teacher is also a retired civil engineer. We talked about fulfillment, retirement, dead-end job, school grades... His advice were very useful during my career.
