Which field should I choose?

I have just completed my Youth and Adult Correctional Intervention program at Ahuntsic College. After having made several interviews, I finally had two job offers. One of them is as a psychosocial worker at a Youth Center in Laval. The other is as a Corrections officer at a woman's detention facility in Laval. Which one should I choose?

I decided to work as a psychosocial worker at the Youth Center in Laval. I can't wait to start working with children and teenagers with difficulties and helping them regain control of their lives. I have finally made the decision to work as a Corrections officer at the woman's detention facility in Laval. This job is very stressful for me, but it has been my dream job since I was a kid. I grew up watching TV shows about prisoners and also documentaries about the job of a corrections' officer. This is going to be very challenging for me because it is a dangerous environment to work in, but I am ready for the challenge. I started my first day as a corrections' officer in training. I was doing a cell-check when I found some weed. It is my first day, and I don't want the inmates to hate me, but I also want to do my job properly. What should I do.

When I saw the weed, I decided to leave it where I found it and act like I didn't see anything. I didn't want for the prisoners to already hate me and make my job harder. One of my colleagues saw me and reported me to my superior. He made me come to his office and fired me for this unacceptable behavior. It was my dream job, and now I will never work in a prison again.
