I'm currently studying Social Science at Ahuntsic College to become a psychologist. In fact, this is my last year, and I'm perplexed. There are so many universities that I find it hard to decide which university I want to go to.

Choice 1 : Go to The University of Toronto.

Choice 2 : Go to McGill University.

Go to The University of Toronto.

I have decided to pack my belongings and move to Toronto to reside on the campus of The University of Toronto. It was a very hard decision for me to leave my family and friends. I have been living here for 2 months and if I'm being completely and utterly honest, I love it here. It's like a fresh start. In fact, even though I didn't know anyone when I moved here except for my closest friend Kay, it gave me the perfect opportunity to make new friends in a new environment. My professors here are awesome apart from Professor Lincoln. He easily gets frustrated and throws things whenever a student answers his questions incorrectly and even more so when students try to reason with him for his poor teaching skills. Exams are getting closer, and it's been stressful for me lately, but so far I’ve had a decent amount of straight A's. Time management is very important, so it doesn't hinder with my studies. I have to set aside from watching my favourite shows, so I can concentrate. A good thing I have recently learned since moving here is being an independent woman. I had an opportunity to get an internship related to my field of study. The on-the-job-training experience helped me learn the ins-and-outs. I was a trainee for a short amount of time, but I think I pulled it off. The mistakes I made as a trainee came in handy. HR gave me a position, and I now have a wage to pay for groceries, new clothes and all the school fees such as my books and my residency in the campus. I wonder what I will be doing once I finish my studies.

Go to McGill University.

I have chosen to study at the University of McGill. Choosing to go to this university was a safe option. In fact, all of my friends and I go here, and it's not that far from my place which is a good thing because I don't need to reside in the campus and pay for the fees. All I have needed to worry about is waking up early to avoid being late to my classes since it's a forty-minute ride to school by bus and metro. To my dismay, since going to school here, I noticed that a girl I used to go to college with and who used to mock and annoy the living out of me is in most of my classes. I have been here for half a year, and with her in most of my classes, it's been draining me emotionally. I tried talking to a guidance counselor about my current situation, but all she advised me to do was ignore her which was the worst advice a guidance counselor could tell a student who is being bullied. At least I still have my friends with whom I spend all my free time whenever I'm not cooped up in the library reading a book from my favourite author or studying. They're literally my only support for when I'm feeling down. The professors at McGill University are not the best if I'm being blunt. Most of them tend to give too much homework in which they don't give enough time for the students to finish. I have been studying here for quite some time now, but I'm constantly wondering if my safe option was the best decision for me. I wonder what I should do.
