I am studying at Ahuntsic College in Social Sciences to become a Human Resources manager. It's my final year of college. I have mixed feelings about my journey in college. Even though I worked and managed my time better when there was school at home, I do feel like have missed out on this whole college experience. Regardless, I am so excited to move forward with my studies, but I do not know which university I should attend.
Choice 1 : Studies at the University of Montreal.
Choice 2 : Go to UQAM.
I chose to go to the University of Montreal to get my bachelor in Human Resources. I am so happy because my closest friends will be also coming here. I will be able to see them more often than before, and we will be able to study together. Well, that's what I thought at first. My friends are more and more becoming a distraction to my studies which makes it harder for me to concentrate and put in the work. I also moved out my parents' house to live alone. Therefore, I need to work to be able to live a decent student life. I thought that working has much wouldn't be that difficult, but it is taking a lot of my energy. I don't feel good anymore. I feel tired, and stressed out. I work too much and when I have the time to study I find myself distracted by my friends. It's just so hard to get everything right. I am starting to stress because I am passing my classes but very harshly. I am indeed scared to fail. I can't afford to fail even one class, school costs a lot of money! I am starting to feel depressed. Nothing is going good for me. I don't know what to do anymore.
Choice 1 : Give up school
Choice 2 : Graduate
I decided to go to UQAM to get my bachelor's in Human Resources. Although I am so happy to be here, I do wish my closest friends were at the same school as me. Most of them are all together at the University of Montreal. Regardless, I do not regret my choice. UQAM is a great school. What I love so much is that they have different options in the way you want to pursue your studies. You can decide to attend your class on campus, you can attend your classes in a hybride mode, or you can attend your classes online. Of course, I chose classes online! I function better with online classes. I feel like it is easier to understand, to get organized and it is so much better when you live far from campus. I also moved out my parents' house to move in with my boyfriend. He helps a lot with finances because he knows how important school is, and he doesn't want work to stress me even more. Therefore, I only work 20 hours a week. When I do online class, I feel like studies are less heavy, it feels like mentally, I can handle it easier. Don't get me wrong, university is demanding, but I can handle it, especially when I am studying something I love. I can't wait to do my profession.
Choice 1 : Continue school.
Choice 2 : Graduate
I decided to give up on school which means I gave up on my dream. I was so disappointed, but I had nothing going right for me. I was struggling with everything, and it was a non ending cycle. A part of me feels relieved and at peace, but a huge part of me feels extremely disappointed in myself. I gave up on something that I have been working for since I am little. I feel like all those years of school don't mean as much anymore because I've given up on my final stretch. I just hope I will be good enough, and have the strength to go back and pursue this dream of mine.

Through my ups and downs, I made it. I finally graduated! It feels so good to be where I am today. All this work really did pay off. I feel a huge weight out of my shoulders. It is time for celebration! A new journey is ahead! I can't wait to start doing what I love! Throughout all these years of studies I have learned so many things interesting things about so many subjects, and I have learned so much about myself, and who I truly am. I know my parents are so proud of me, but the person who is the proudest of me is myself. It is time for me to go in the work field. I have gotten two job offers, where should I go?
Choice 1 : Work for the STM.
Choice 2 : Bombardier.
After 3 years of hard work, I finally graduated! I am so happy and so proud of myself! Today, a dream of mine really did come true! It was not easy, I can't recall the amount of times I felt like giving up, but I didn't, and I am so happy it ended this way. My hard work, efforts and perseverance came through. Even though I got my bachelor's in Human Resources, I don't feel 100% content. I have always been passionate about law. A part of me always wanted to become a lawyer. I feel like there is something missing. I feel like what I did wasn't enough to feel fulfilled. Now that I have completed one bachelors, I think it is time for me to go get my bachelor's in law...

I have decided to work for the STM. My friend's mom works there, and she has referred me to work there. I have gotten a job offer, and I accepted it. They offer a competitive salary with good benefits. Ever since I have started working I have been taking care of people in the company. I have been recruiting people, even firing some. I also take care of salary adjustments, vacations, bonuses, etc. If there is any sort of misconduct, I am the one to call. I love this new job, but people here are really rude. Ever since I have started working there, people treat me like a little rookie and see who I really am. They don't see all the potential I got and how I'm such a hard worker. I love what I'm doing, but the bad environment makes me miserable.

I have chosen to work for Bombardier. My dad got me in. He has been working there for over 20 years. He knows how is the company and has a good idea of how they treat their employees. I am happy to get to work in such a good company. The wage is good and the benefits are even better! Here people are very nice to each other which is slightly surprising to me because I've been warned that there are nasty people in this work industry, but here everything seems fine. I have been taking care a lot at the cash flow and the candidates that would love to work in the company. I love the fact that I get to be a lot autonomous. I am so grateful to have found a job where I can do with what I love in a great environment.
