Where do I go?

I am presently a student at Ahuntsic College in the program Youth and Adult Correctional Intervention. I started cegep not really knowing what I wanted to do in life but after talking to a counseler at my school I took her advice and applied in this program. Two years have passed and I really like what im learning but little by little my program is getting to an end and I really need to think what's my next move with my future career. Help me !

I applied at UdeM in criminology. This university is not far from my house , so I won't be spending a lot of money on transportation. This university is also known for having a lot of students in criminology this program is very popular. Can't wait to meet new friends!

I have always wanted to go to the University of Toronto in criminology because lots of people have told me that you get a lot of opportunities related to your field such as internships, trips and activities they help you learn more about your program. Since there's so many internships, need to pick a good one.

I'm a bit stressed out because university it's very different to cegep, and I know I need to score high grades to be a criminologist. It is very important to be authentic and have a great communication because you're going to encounter a lot of people that might have issues mentally physically or just in general in their life. Now I have to look at some extra curriculum activities or volunteering that I could add to my CV because that's something that an employer looks for when they want to have a new employee in their business.

90 day internship.

This criminology internship in Toronto is an opportunity future graduates to gain professional experience in law enforcement issues particularly with research issues, concerns from the community, crime trend cases, assignments, filing as well as other related duties. You complete your internship after 90 days, and you have to do minimum 15 hours per week. This internship is unpaid. I miss my family back in Montreal and this internship is not bringing me money.

New job ?

My friend talked to me about this job that is recruiting new students in the field of criminology it's a part-time job working with troubled young kids from 5 to 12 years old. I applied not thinking too much about it because I don't have a lot of experience and turns out I got it! This is amazing! I am now going to have a little bit more of experience for my future lifetime career.

I love kids. Working with little kids is very fun I some way feeling like their willing to learn something from me. I'm doing this to get some experience, but I really enjoy it. This is why I would really like to have a future jobs with young kids or teenagers.

I am now an animator for the group of young kids aged 7-9 and 9-11. This volunteering service consists in animating, motivating, plan and coordinate the activities of my unit with the other animators.

Go back to Montreal.

I'm back in Montreal, I really missed all my family and all my friends. I also missed my boyfriend a lot, I haden't seen them in like 4 months. Living in Toronto is really different and expensive. Should I stay here ?

I am pregnant! I had to stop work because I am now 37 weeks pregnant, but so far I loved my work in Toronto. I am really lucky to have been accepted, and I am now a full time worker with this company. I mostly work with kids and young teenagers, but I have some cases of adults that just got out of prison and need help.

My long distances relationship with my boyfriend in Montreal did not work out we decided to break up because he wants to focus on his career and so do I. I'm out in a new city with no friends only work colleagues. Life here is really more expensive, but I really want to get to know a little bit more around.

Going out feels so good, meeting new people as well. I have found my future home forever, I don't think i'm every going back to live in Montreal because I have my job here. Maybe only for visiting. I feel good working and helping kids with their past or current struggles. A lot of them have been victims of sexual abuse, some have been addicted to drugs, and I have some kids that were just homeless and their parents were in the streets. Helping them makes me happy.

My family came to visit me, everyone is very happy, and they brought me a lot of presents now I have too many baby clothes. I am thinking of moving away in another country because I want my baby to learn how to speak more languages.

I LOVE MONTREAL ! I'm ready to discover my new opportunities since the semester in university already started I'm going to work and save up money for my next semester. I am staying with my parents, so I don't have to be worrying about paying rent.

I meet this new guy because we had some friends in commun, and now we are dating. Turns out we work for the same company so I love that we have the same occupation and we could have some long talks about work. We now live together.

Stressed and needs a break.

I'm stressed and I have to many work on my back. I don't know what to do. This work is very hard and it's affected my mental health. I see to many cases per day that make me feel bad. I had this one lady that was sexually abuse from her dad and these type of situations are really hard to hear.
