And then what's next?

Before the end of college.

I will finish my technique in a year at Cegep de Thetford. I am currently studying Business Management and when I will have obtained my diploma I can work directly or continue at university. However, I’m not motivated these days. Three years of cegep are long, and I don't know if I should continue. What should I do?

Choice 1 : Finish my program.

Choice 2 : Dropout of school.

The end of the Business Management technique.

I am now a graduate in Business Management. I finally found the motivation to finish my final year. I'm proud of myself, but I have always thought of going to university to complete a bachelor's degree in Marketing. On the other hand, I have always dreamed of starting my own business, and now I have the necessary skills. What should I do?

Choice 1 : Go to the University of Sherbrooke.

Choice 2 : Start my own company.

The abandonment.

Now that I have dropped out of school, I feel much freer and free from stress. I have a lot of free time, and it becomes problematic. My parents are tired of seeing me doing nothing. I have to decide. What do I do now?

Choice 1 : Get a full-time job.

Choice 2 : Take a year off to relax.

abandonement

The dilemma.

I am officially a student of the University of Sherbrooke for a few weeks now. My cohort is really friendly, and there are happy hours, parties and several organized activities every week. Right now I'm in a dilemma because I have an important exam tomorrow, and I haven't started studying yet. Also, my classmates invited me to a party, and I would like to go. What should I do?

Choice 1 : Put aside my study and go to the party.

Choice 2 : Study all night.

The life of a business woman.

My dream is coming true. However, I still hesitate to know what would be the best choice of business. I have an interest in marketing, so I could open my own advertising agency. On the other side, I have a crazy dream that lives in me. I love sausage dogs, so I thought of starting a sausage dog breeding. What should I do?

Choice 1 : Be safe, start an advertising agency.

Choice 2 : Go crazy and start a sausage dog breeding.

The job market.

I updated my CV and started looking for a job. As I haven't finished my technique, I only have a high school diploma, but I still acquired administrative skills, and I have internship experience. I applied on a few jobs and went for interviews. Two choices are available to me. These are two completely different jobs, but each have benefits and a good starting salary with the possibility of a bonus and advancement in the company. Which should I choose?

Choice 1 : Cashier position at Costco.

Choice 2 : Receptionist position in a beauty salon.

The sabbatical year.

I now have a year ahead to do what I want and just relax. What a good life! I have a few project ideas I could do, but I don't know which one I should choose. These are two completely different ideas, but each seem enriching to me and would allow me to learn about myself during this sabbatical year. Which should I choose?

Choice 1 : Go volunteering abroad.

Choice 2 : Write a book.

Regrets.

The party was crazy yesterday. I had fun, but maybe a little too much. When I woke up this morning, I saw on Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok and Snap Chat the photos and videos of me having drunk way too much. As it was the first party I attended, I had to do a kind of initiation to be welcome in the cohort. I had to do embarrassing things that don't look like my habits. This morning I have regrets, because I'm not ready for my exam, so I'll probably fail, and all of my classmates saw me in a bad state. I'm ashamed and my drama queen side takes over. What should I do?

Choice 1 : Move in another city and start studying at a new university.

Choice 2 : Get over it thinking that they will have forgotten in few days.

hangover

The right choice.

I got a straight A's. I made the right choice. Studying is always a good solution. Though I missed a nice party, I'll have plenty of time to catch up. I finally graduated 3 years later with excellent results. I am a proud graduate of the BAC in Marketing from the University of Sherbrooke.

Pixi Communications.

It's been 2 years since I started Pixi Communications. The beginnings were more difficult because the world of digital marketing is a competitive market where you have to know how to make your mark. I felt overwhelmed, so I hired two employees with me to help me with accounting and project management. We are now a beautiful team of 3 passionate women close to each other.

Sausage dog breeding.

After I understood the breeding environment and how it works, I opened my breeding in the summer and started taking care of the 10 puppies that were born. I quickly realized that it was not a job for me. There had complications during the birth, and I lost my dog. Also, one of the puppies died a few hours after birth. In short, it's way too many emotions for me. I got attached to these dogs, and I had to let them go. It seemed the dream life to me, but not that much after all. At least I tried!

The world of Costco.

I did my OJT and I worked for a few weeks at Costco, but although the cashier position had a good wage, I left the job. The Costco world is not for me. There are thousands of customers each day, it's noisy, and it's demanding as a job.

I was a receptionist for 6 months and the owner of the salon was very satisfied with my work, so she offered me the position of manager to oversee employees, customer service and more.

My experiment in volunteering abroad.

I was skeptical to go there at first, but I decide to get out of my comfort zone to live a new experience. The purpose was to help the inhabitants of a village in Guatemala to build a new school. We spent two weeks there, and we had no premium wage, but there were many advantages to being there such as the in-depth discussions we had with the inhabitants about their culture and their way of life. This experience was invaluable and very enriching for me.

My short career as an author.

I wrote an adventure novel for teenagers which took me several months. I then presented my work to many publishing houses who were not interested in publishing it. I don't think I'm a writer at heart. It was a failure. I should have made a better choice.

I found myself in a roommate with a dubious roommate. Partying isn't always a good idea. I will think it twice before going there next time.
