It was the end of secondary school and a choice had to be made about my future career.
Choice 1 : Go to college.
Choice 2 : Take a year off school.

I have just finished secondary school, and I am motivated, I decide that I should go to college. In fact, I had a thought of becoming a kinesiologist even though my scores in high school were not particularly high, and I was not the kind of student that got straight A's. Therefore, in order to reach this new goal, college is a compulsory passage. There might some setbacks, but I think I can pull this off.
Choice 1 : Third week into college.
After all those maddening years in school I thoroughly thought about it, and decided to put aside my education in order to make some money and prepare myself to start college in a year.
Choice 1 : A whole year of work.
It is my third week in college and all the teacher already gave me a lot of work to do at home. Now, I have an important choice regarding my time management and the way I am going to prioritize my workload.
Choice 1 : I study hard for school in order to become a kinesiologist.
Choice 2 : I do not put much effort into my education.
It has been a year since I finished high school. Since my graduation I worked at a restaurant near my home and I made a lot of money. Sadly, I feel a certain lack of fulfillment. In fact, I do not feel that my year passed in this restaurant was worthwhile, the work was alienate, it gave me no sense of accomplishment, and I was always the one who had to make the overtime in this small business because I never rejected due to the fact that I was feeling so powerless. I regret that I did not decide sooner to go to college, because now I do not have any motivation to continue my education, I really feel like I reach a dead end. So now, I either find a new job or I try to get an internship to get some work experience.
Choice 1 : A year in a new job.
Choice 2 : Me in an internship.
It has been decide early this year, in college I am not going to repeat the mistakes that I used to do in high school, I am going to do all my homework, study at least one week before important exams, and I am going to have great time management. All of those promises that I made to myself really paid off! I am now in my last semester of college, and I never felt accomplish. I got great scores, and now I got to see all the results of my hard work. I am really proud of myself, but I am not going to lie, I feel a little bit exhaust too, and I have a certain fear regarding university. I have to make a choice either I push myself to the limit and go to university next year, or I go volunteering abroad to take a pause and learn about myself.
Choice 1 : The results of my hard work in university.
Choice 2 : Volunteering abroad.
At the start of my college life I decided to be a good student who put effort into things like studying, homework, etc. In the end, I was not able to do all those things. In fact, the more I advanced into the semesters the less motivated I was becoming, because why should I study? It is much more fun to hang with friends and plays some video games. I don't need straight A's anymore because I abandoned my dream to be a kinesiologist, so all I need is to get the minimum required to pull this off. It is decides, after college I either find a real job and start my adult life or I go to university.
Choice 1 : Going to university.
Choice 2 : My life as an employee.
Already one year have passed since I started my new office job. In the beginning, I had to do on the job training in order to learn the basic because I was still a trainee, I loved it because it gave me a good wage and my colleague were nice, but after a year of this work I came to see what was the real deal with this company. To make it simple, this company have a great problem with sexual harassment. A lot of my coworker try to flirt with the girls at the office, but they don't seem to enjoy it. they always try to deter them in order to have a drink with them, and I can feel that the perpetrators is dread by the recipient. The worst in all this, is that nobody seems to correct those misconduct and no one seems to care. But I get paid so much that I think I will keep this job for a long time.
Choice 1 : End of secondary school.
I just started a new internship in an office where it does not require any diploma, so it will allow me to get a foot in the door in case that I want to work there. First, they assign me to do on-the-job-training to learn the ropes. It has been a week since I started, but I already can come in handy sometimes, and that make me feel great like I accomplish something. At first, this intern was pretty easy, but after a few days I feel overwhelm by all the work they assign me. I still have two weeks to do in this internship and the boss talked to me about how great I will be as an employee, so I need to make a choice I either take the job or try to find another job with the new skills I acquired.
Choice 1 : My second job.
Choice 2 : Take the job.
Today is my 60th birthday. It has been more than 30 years since I worked as a kinesiologist. My hard work in university really paid off because since I graduate I started working as a kinesiologist, and I liked it so much that I did not try to do anything else. I feel like its was a great career, and I feel accomplish. Now it is time to st aside all those years of hard work behind me and have fun while I'm retired.
Choice 1 : End of secondary school.
It has been one year since I volunteer abroad, and now I don't feel so good. I started volunteering because I wanted to find myself and find a purpose to my life, but it ended up really quick. To make it short, one year ago while we were digging to create a water well I started to feel pain in my chest, and it ended up that I got a problem with my heart, and the doctor told me that I will die in one year. Today, is one of my lasts, somebody maybe thought that it was sad but in the end I think that my purpose in this world was to help others, and I'm glad that my last two year was to help other.
Choice 1 : End of secondary school.
After having bad grades in college I decide to try going to university, but after a month of it my grades were so low that I decided that this was enough, and so I quit university. One year later, I found a job in the construction. I was paid well, and it was fun, yes maybe if I put more into my education I could live a better life than this put now I'm 35 year-old, and I still work in construction, and I love my life. Yes my job can be alienating, but I got time for myself, and I try to do all the things that I wish to do. I'm glad of what I have become.
Choice 1 : End of secondary school.
In the end, I decided to find a job where no diploma was required in an office job and this is the worse decision that I ever made. The company was full of corruption, it is all about bribes and threats. The work environment is completely toxic, but sadly I am 40 year-old. It is too late to find a new job, and I can not risk quitting because I have a house to pay, a car, food etc. I still have to work at least 20 years in this junk, I wish that it would pass quickly.
Choice 1 : End of secondary school.
After working in a restaurant for two whole years, I thought that anything was going to be better than that but in the end I was a fool. In the end, after working in this restaurant, I end up working in a factory for 17 years but last years I got my arms completely crush by one of the machines and now all I got left is a depression and no job. I really don't know what I did wrong to end up like this.
Choice 1 : End of secondary school.
I finally accepted the job from my internship, and it was a great idea. Yes, in the beginning it was rough, but the more you work the better you become like they say. My colleagues are great people, and I really like this job. It already been 10 years since I started the real job, but it passed like it was two I think I will live a great life in this company.
