I am a student at Ahuntsic College and I love school. I have always been able to pull off very good grades because of the time management and the thought process I have put into my work. I really wanted to do well in academic practices this semester because I am applying to university. However, I don't know which one. This choice is very stressing.
Choice 1 : Concordia University.
Choice 2 : McGill University.
I am having the best university experience here! All the teachers are very helpful and my classmates are full of surprises. We are learning everything about the history of psychology, the brain, the mental disorders. Everything is so interesting, that I don't know witch internship is going to be my fit.
Choice 1 : Internship at the asylum.
Choice 2 : Internship in a school.
I am very disappointed in myself. I have always been able to pull off very good grades because of the time management and the thought process I have put into my work. However, this year is so different. I can't stop procrastinating. I often do a cursory job, without putting much thought into my work. I party until 3 a.m. I skip breakfast, and I have terrible time management. On top of everything, I don't know where to apply for my internship. I'm not even sure, that I still want to be a psychologist.
Choice 1 : Internship at the asylum.
Choice 2 : Internship in a school.
I have often been told by professors and my parents that the transition from being a student and entering the workforce can be difficult because the job market is very competitive and the pressure to succeed can be overwhelming. I listened to them and got myself an internship to test-drive my future job. Internships are a great way to get my foot in the door and test drive your future work field. However, I'm scared, because they offered me an internship at the asylum and, I don't know if I should take it or do another one.
Choice 1 : Douglas psychiatric Institute.
Choice 2 : Government or corporate psychologist' position.
I got offered an internship at a high school. I love working with kids and having an impact on their lives. My university professors told me that the transition from being a student and entering the workforce can be difficult because the job market is very competitive and the pressure to succeed can be overwhelming. Since I am curious about the job of a school psychologist, I think I should accept this job, but I'm still not sure.
Choice 1 : Don't accept the job at the school.
Choice 2 : Accept the job at the school.
I am afraid that I won't be able to meet the standards of this workplace. Working with people who have mental health problems such as depression, anxiety or phobias can be very challenging. However, that doesn't mean I don't look forward to it. I can't wait to learn about the neurological, genetic, psychological, and social determinants of behavior or the psychological determinants of health and psychological factors that contribute to health and disease management. But before diving into the big pile of work, I have to choose a monitor, who will accompany me and mentor me. I don't know who to choose.
Choice 1 : Philip Mcclear.
Choice 2 : Sarah Desjardins.
I was never going to fit in an asylum. With the competition and my lack of confidence, I could never have succeeded in that internship. That's why a government or corporate psychologist'job is more suited to me. My hours are fixed and, I often work alone. There’s some relief and enjoyment in the occasional conference that takes me away from writing reports. However, I don't know if I should stay because of the grueling schedules and emotional demands. Plus, some coworkers have made some inappropriate comments about my body and I don't feel comfortable in this work environment.
Choice 1 : Stay at the corporate jobs.
Choice 2 : Go to Human Resources.
I have decided not to work as a psychiatrist at the school. I don't think this career is a good fit for me. Because of the extensive academics and emotional commitment required to obtain their degree, very few psychologists leave the field at any time in their careers, and I think I might be one of them. Since I can't be jobless, I have to occupy myself somehow.
Choice 1 : Work in McDonald's.
Choice 2 : Go back to school and find another career path.
I love working here. Everybody is very sweet and it is teamwork. I miss being at school with the students and teachers, but I love working here. I don't know what to do.
Choice 1 : Go back to school and find another career path.
Choice 2 : Have a long career in McDonald's as a manager.
This internship is very overwhelming and every day is challenging. I have many tasks. I have to conduct psychological tests and evaluations, support each student’s IEP by working with multidisciplinary teams. Some days, I have to counsel students individually or in groups, develop intervention plans for teaching staff, meet with parents to provide regular updates on child development and student progress, only to cite a few. Regardless of the challenges I face every day, I really like this job and, I want to make it a career.
Choice 1 : Have a long career.

I have a lot of fun learning and working with the patient under his supervision. He really liked my work ethic and gave me confidence. To top, it he even suggested that I come to work for him once I'm done with my degree. I couldn't be happier.
Choice 1 : Have a long career.
My experience was amazing with her. She told me that if I had any questions, I should not hesitate. We became really close and, she even offered me a job for when I finish my studies.
Choice 1 : Have a long career.
I should have listened to my gut! Although it could have been seen as flirting, it wasn’t. The flirtation turned into deterring misconduct from the perpetrator. I have often received sexual comments from a co-worker, but when confronted the perpetrator backed off. After a few days, the sexual harassment started being aggressive and persistent, and it created a hostile work environment. Sexual harassment took many forms. The harasser had authority and was highly placed in the office. His act of misconduct had an impact on me, like many recipients of sexual assault. One of them was decreased productivity at work. I was in fact dreading going to work. Sexual harassment affected my social relationships and my reputation. I don't know what to do.
Choice 1 : Go to Human Resources.
Choice 2 : Don't say anything.
