Start at the beginning?

This is how we start. We are some time after the summer, and I have to choose the program I'll be in for the rest of my college years at least from what I believe, it all depends on what will happen doesn't it? Then let's go I have to make a choice!

Choice 1 : Social Sciences Individual Profile.

Choice 2 : Police technique.

Chosing my futur program

Social Sciences Individual Profile.

The humanities section in the individual profile is one of the most popular educational orientations. In this program, I visit the art of psychology and sociology. I take a changing outlook on life and the people surrounding people. I better understand the behavior of others and associate them with the aggravating or facilitating factors that life can bring. In addition, as the perception of things increases, I am able to do a better retrospection. My choices that I make are chosen with greater delicacy and with reasonable and justifiable motivation as opposed to being impulsive and driven by my emotions and not my reasoning. Life at school is going well I have good grades and I am proud of the man I am becoming.

Choice 1 : My interest in psychology.

Choice 2 : My interest in criminology.

Human Science

Police technique.

Police Technology is one of the most limited programs of all programs in Quebec. It is very difficult to return and continue to persevere with the large margin of work given during the sessions of the program. However, I managed to come back with the help of my physical and mental training and my good grades marked by my time in high school. I discover something new in my journey, security, protection, justice and fairness are values that grow in me. Indeed, the more time I spend in this environment, the more my desire to apply the law and protect citizens increases constantly. Our simulations, research, testimonies, information, conferences and political courses in addition to our sociology and criminology courses increase our enrichment in the knowledge of the clientele with which we will have to enter into communication and to face. Crime is certainly a gray area, not black and white. What I like about this program is that it is about the open-mindedness, discipline, and acceptance. Morality and justice are also fundamental reasons for my presence in this technique.

My interest in Psychology.

I am now present in the Psychology course. I have been in the Social Science program for two years now and have learned a lot of interesting things about human personality and behavior. However, my graduation is approaching and I just had a disturbing event in my life. In context, I am a victim of assault with bodily harm. I am outraged and do not understand how this situation could have happened. Police officers inform me that the individual in question has a deviance due to his borderline personality disorder problem and that he was abused throughout his childhood. This event makes me ask questions about my orientation. Criminal behavior interests me, and I am curious to understand the criminogenic factors that push an individual to act as such despite their condition. However, my attacker is also affected by a mental illness, and I would have liked to help him. What would you like me to do now?

Choice 1 : Mental Health support.

Choice 2 : Social work.

Choice 3 : Clinical Criminology.

Choice 4 : Police technique.

My interest in Criminology.

My college years are finally over, my Social Science program helps me figure out what I wanted to do. As much as I love the mind and mental health issues, I have realized that anything related to criminal activity and criminal behavior is something I kept my eye on. I would like to research, find new aspects of criminality, factors, and environment conditions that are building those men and women. I would like building knowledge for others like me who wants to make changes and progress with the science and put it into practice with the society of right now. My second option will be to be in the field as a profiler I'll be the person who records and analyzes the psychological and behavioral characteristics of a person, in order to assess or predict their abilities or to help identify categories of people. Psychological profilers are used to help officers get a picture of the abuser However, I think that I will be more comfortable to work for the community which presents difficulties in the adaptation and the feeling of belonging in the society but also of psychological disorders. What could I possibly do now?

Choice 1 : Clinical Criminology.

Choice 2 : Profiling for the department of the human behavior science (Law enforcement).

Police academy.

It has been 3 years now that I have been committed to finishing my Police Tech. I am finally graduated from Ahuntsic College and I will now lead my new stage of life at the National Police School of Quebec. The ENPQ is a paramilitary school which consists of learning the operations and method of patrolling that the police use in order to operate effectively and adequately in the workplace. This is the place where we all apply, as we have learned over the past three years. We patrol, carry out investigations, make arrests and issue reports. We also have more special approaches with the mental health unit and hardened criminals. In addition, we are practicing the area of moral choice. Since we have to stay in the establishment during the training period, I sleep and I strengthen my friendships. One evening, one of my colleagues and I have a discussion at the table and he asks me what I would like to do once I graduate from ENPQ. I notice that I am very good at my observation and that my instincts as well as my reasoning are both never questioned. The gatherings of information and the mysteries are aspects that catch my curiosity. I always want to know more and tried to relate what is wrong with a situation. Maybe the investigation would be probable for me. On the other hand, contact with people is something that is important to me, moreover, being a patrolman I will always be in the action and for the use of all when someone needs me compared to an investigator who is often in his office. In the end, I look my friend in the eye and I answer him ...

Choice 1 : Patrolman (Police officer).

Choice 2 : Detective.

Being enrolled in the army ?

During my career in Police Technology, I realize that I can help more than the people of my municipality. There are things in the world of greater scope and national significance. I must, I can make a change, but I don't believe that one man can fight against all the injustices of this world. I want to defend my world, my country, but I have to do it with people who share the same vision as me. I have to find brothers, fighters, people who want to fight for the good. I quit Police Tech, it's time to become someone more!

Mental Health support.

Years have passed now, and I have my my doctorate in Psychology. Mental health defines psychic, emotional and cognitive well-being or an absence of mental disorder. This is the domain I believe I belong to work in. I have an insane understanding for the way the brain works and how mental illness can affect the mind of those people damned by the brain. I had a proposition to work in an Asylum in Arkham City, I think I am going to take that chance. Nevertheless, I can my mind large to work in different aspects of what structures psychology can be associated with.

In my years at the university UQAM in Montreal I went into Psychology, and we went trough the social work domain. Social work is an academic discipline and a practice-based profession concerned with individuals, families, groups, communities and society as a whole with the goal of meeting basic needs and improving functioning. social, self-determination, collective responsibility, optimal health, and general well-being. All of it makes it obvious about the path I'm going to take. Once I was walking in the street on my way to school and I see someone crying as I approached to her, she looks up to me and ask me what I'm doing. I don't know what got to me, but I ask her if she wants to talk. We spent one hour outside talking about her issues, and made some recommendations for her while validating the way she felt. She said to me that I was a good listener and made gave her a good insight and overlooked at her situation.

Clinical criminology.

Clinical criminology is a science that deals with the clinical aspects of criminology. It involves observing, interpreting and treating criminals. This is my last year at the University of Montreal, it has been five years, and I'm going to get my doctorate. I came to meet a teacher in Laval who made some good insight of the criminal behavior, and we consulted a lot of documents and records together. Jonathan Crane, the man who taught me and my partner told me that I had a gift for the mind and the way of understanding it and how to manipulate it. He told me that this job is not something that will keep you mentally stable and we criminologists are often traumatized or destabilized by the testimonies and physical approaches with pure criminals and deviant criminals.

Profiling for the department of the human behavior science (Law enforcement).

My life has been really good doing the thing that I do now. It's been 7 years into my integration in the department of behavior science. I work with the GRC in Canada like the FBI for the US. I consult a lot of cases and give my insight to the agents about what kind of criminal we are working with. I work with a team and we separates section of the crime scene we observes to identify victimology and the Mo of the individual while looking for behavioral aspects as well which will define the bases of his personality and his way of thinking. However, I am good for both pure criminals and those suffering from chronic mental disorder with abnormal or violent social behavior. Hmmm Wonder if should do something else?

Patrolman (Police officer).

I am now a police officer and work to protect and defend the law and civilians. I am often with my partner, and we're patrolling on an 8 to 5. Life is good! I have two kids and a wife that is also a patrolwoman. I love what I do and I am happy.

Detective.

After the police academy I made a choice of becoming a detective but for that I had to be on patrol as a patrolman for ten years. It's the procedure but I got lucky. While my partner and I were patrolling I had suspicions on someone we had Intel on from the street. I made a personal profile on the suspect even though I am not supposed to, and I ask my partner if he was okay with a check up in the neighbourhood. Well, we spotted the guy responsible for the drug's transactions in the neighbourhood and arrested him. Finally got a promotion after this and chose to do the exams to become detective. Three weeks later, I have my results and I succeed the exams needed for me to pass the procedure. I am now on my first case and investigating feels new and fresh, I feel like this is going to be my career for the rest of my life but who knows right?

Detective career

Soldier.

After weeks of intensive training, I am now an infantry soldier. For the moment, I am in the reserve to continue my training. We carry our strategic and tactical operations as well as the learning of weapons and practical combat tools, and necessarily necessary to use. I spend months in the reserve and my general in chief sends me on deployment for my first mission. Everything is going well, we are taking the important information and saving a few people, but we are also losing some. The war is not broken, but it is for a greater cause. Special ops events are available but this is a higher difficulty level but I am ready to carry out higher level missions. If I sign, I commit to a painful and intense physical and mental training. Would I be able to rise to the challenge?

Special force operation.

Now depending on the mission and on the country, as special forces we may perform functions including airborne operations, counter-insurgency, counter-terrorism, foreign internal defense, covert ops, direct action, hostage rescue, high-value targets/manhunt, intelligence operations, mobility operations, and unconventional warfare. We have a lot of work to do, we often miss some opportunities and succeeds to keep everything clean and clear but we do are best on the mission. Most of the times, we touch political problems that are affecting multiple countries and their community. Terrorism is something the whole world is scared of and after what happened during wars in Iran, I am not certain if my fight is where it belongs. Maybe working as an agent for the national security is the way to go to avoid wars and battles that only results into killing, pain and hate. I have to make a choice about that do I stay in the OPS or do I work for the Homeland.

Asylum psychiatrist.

As a psychiatrist, I have extra training in mental health. I can choose to prescribe medications. Some use psychotherapy ('talk therapies') approaches like cognitive-behavioural therapy to treat mental health problems like I do but things are getting hard. Even myself have to deal with nightmares and trauma after what I saw. I have been working over there for 3 years already, helped a few people to get better and to escape from this hell. Even though I feel like this is too much to deal with, I still love what I do. We saved a lot of people, prisoner of their mind me and my colleagues. I feel like maybe a new start wouldn't be so bad but that would mean to restart all over again. I could always go back to the city and treat people who haven't mental illness but have personal problems that affect their social lives.

Psychotherapist.

As a psychotherapist, I use talk therapy to treat people for emotional problems and mental illnesses. Depending on what degree and specialty they get, psychotherapists can be psychiatrists like I could be (or was). I have a lot of clients that comes to my cabinet, they talk to me about their fear or emotions. Some times I have hard cases because some of my clients don't want to work on themselves but only to evacuate how they are feeling and this is okay to until this guy came to me. I was really scary at first I can't lie about that but he kept coming to me and it has become disturbing and fascinating. He gave me full of morbid details and this individual spoke with such sweetness and precision without being able to determine a feeling of guilt or disgust in his words. It was a very disturbing but also a impressive experience. A long time criminal with nothing but pain and violence in his life. I had no idea that the criminal mind could be so complex. Interesting..

I am now 30 years old and starting to teach criminology at university. I am from time as a consultant for the municipal police concerning the criminals having a judicial file with several antecedents of offenses but otherwise nothing more. Serial Killer's homicides (Sociopath/psychopath).

I am now 30 years old, and I'm a Profiler. We work with the federal police GRC and investigate crime scenes while creating a profile on the killer or killers. We have a gun and a badge. We are considered to be consultants nut we can arrest, and we have to do basic police work like completing rapport files. It's the perfect mix for a criminologist and a profiler because I can use my knowledge and to be a detective as federal policeman. I could also just be something if I find that this is to much work, and my choice is only going to redirect me on a specific domain.
