Ever since I'm really young I always only had two plans of careers I had imagined myself doing in the future. Even if they are very different, one from another, I find interest in both of these two paths. The first one is being a photograph. I really like photography and this art in general because of the way you can express yourself through it. Since I'm a kid, photography always been one of my passions so, it was really easy for me to see myself do this job in the future. The second one is being a police officer. Since I could remember, I always found interest in this job. I used to watch a lot of TV show about the job of police officers. What I like about this job is that everyday is very different, It is very difficult and challenging. Now than I'm going to college next year, I need to make a choice about my future career. Which one should I choose?
Choice 1 : Police officer.
Choice 2 : Photographer.
After a long reflexion, I think it is better for me if I choose to be a police officer. In fact, the chance to be hired in a police department and to have a stable job and salary are way better in the police than on my own being a photographer. The thing is I don't know which school to choose between Ahuntsic College or Maisonneuve College. Both seem to give a good program.
Choice 1 : Ahuntsic College.
Choice 2 : Maisonneuve College.
After a long reflexion, I think it is better for me if I choose to be a photographer. As I said earlier, taking pictures always been a passion for me since a really long time. It is really important for me to love and have a great interest in the job I'll be doing for the rest of my life. I begin my studies in this field but after a certain time, I realize that having a stable job in this field is really difficult and that I have to really stand out to live out of that passion. Maybe, I should've chosen to be a police officer.
Choice 1 : Police officer.
Once again, after long reflexion, I finally made my choice by applying at Ahuntsic College in Police Technology. Even if I applied, it doesn't mean I'll be automatically in the program. In fact, to get in, you have to pass a lot of physical test. I am doing a lot of sport since I'm young so, I can say that I'm in a pretty good shape. The only thing is that I don't know how to swim properly and there's a swimming test to do to get in the program. This seems pretty difficult. What should I do?
Choice 1 : Make the effort to learn how to swim.

Choice 1 : Make the effort to learn how to swim.
This career is really something I want to do since a really long time. I never thought about the swimming tests before applying at the College. Event if this is gonna be a really thought challenge for me, I know I can do it. I will prove to anyone and, most important, to me, that I'll be able to pass the tests.
Choice 1 : Pass the test and make it to the program.
After a lot of efforts and a lot of swimming lessons later, I passed my swimming tests, and finally made it into the program. I'm really proud of myself, and I am now than ever convicted that I can do whatever I want with only a lot of discipline. I study three years into this program. I really love it! I like the fact that our classes are not only theory, but also practical. We have a lot of self-defense classes, and they are really interesting! I also love the fact that we are studying Criminology, Sociology and much more because as an officer, we are in contact every day with the population. In fact, learning how to communicate properly with someone and understand their behaviour is something really important. Now, I need to go to Nicolet, the National Police School in Quebec, to complete my training totally and to finally be ready to patrol on the road. The only problem is that after all the efforts I made, I'm really tired and travelling always been something I loved doing. That's why I am now considering the idea of taking a year off to go travel on my own. What should I do?
Choice 1 : Go to Nicolet.
Choice 2 : Take a year off to travel.
I made it to Nicolet, and I even pass their physical tests. I'm really proud of myself, and I'm even ready to say that I'm in the best shape of my life. I made a lot of efforts to be where I am now, and I'm really proud of my progress. Now than I'm done, I'm ready to apply in an organisation near where I live. The ones I'm looking forward to applying to are either the SPVM (for the city of Montreal) or the SQ (the National Police organisation).
Choice 1 : Apply for the SPVM.
Choice 2 : Apply for the SQ.
I decided to apply to the SPVM. For multiple reasons I thought it was the best to choose for me. Montreal is a really big city and there's a lot of action there. Since I'm looking to have a challenging and fun career, this is really something I'm looking at in a place where I'm applying. It is not really far from where I live but since I'm on the north shore of Montreal, there will be a lot of of traffic, and this is really a deal breaker for me. I went to school in Montreal, and I'm tired of this. Maybe applying to the SQ should be a better idea.
Choice 1 : Apply for the SQ.
I decided to apply to the SQ. For multiple reasons I thought it was the best to choose for me. First, it is not really far from where I live. Since I'm on the north shore of Montreal, the drive to the station is not that long. After, there's not a specific territory for the SQ to patrol on since it all over the province. In fact, you can have people call for a multiple of reasons which makes the job really diversified. Since I'm looking to have a challenging and fun career, this is really something I'm looking at in a place where I'm applying.
Choice 1 : My career.
I absolutely love to travel and to discover new country and cultures. I wanted to keep this trip not really expensive, so I decided to go in back-pack instead of going in luxurious hotels. That's why I decided to go to Argentina with one of my friends. It was really fun and an amazing experience but after a year, I needed to come back In Quebec. Now I accomplished one of my biggest dreams to travel back-pack, I need to find a real job when I'm back in Quebec. That's why I'm thinking of going to Nicolet.
Choice 1 : Go to Nicolet.
After doing all the interviews needed to get the job, I finally made it to the job of my dreams, being a Police Officer. The process was kind of long because they had to do a lot of research on myself, and I had to pass a lot of tests again. I made a lot of efforts to be where I am today, and I am proud of myself. After all those years of services, I'm now on the edge of taking my retirement. There's never been a day that I doubted that this job may not have been for me. I love it so much and as I wanted before I applied in Police Technology, my career had been really challenging and fun!
Choice 1 : Do it again!
