The beginning of the school year.
I just started as a new student in College Ahuntsic in a really challenging program. I started to understand that when you're a student, you don't have a lot of time, and you couldn't have everything. I had to make important decision for my future.

It was the second week of the semester and my teachers had already begun piling on the homework. After dinner, I gave my English teacher homework a cursory glance and made a snap decision about my time management. I decided to stop procrastinating and start working hard. I first started to create a week planning, so I could be thoughtful and manage my time better between my classes at school because I know it can be maddening. Even though I was a super busy person, I got the ability to put aside some less important things. This way I was able to do what I need to do without wasting my time. Also, I went through all my work assignments for school and wrote them down starting by the soonest due date to the oldest. This way, I was able to see what I had to do in order in every class and thoroughly looked over my work to make sure I did my best. It would be nice to pull off and see results for my efforts and actually being able to get straight A's in school.

At the beginning of school I moved in a brand-new apartment just next to my new school. Later, I realized that I needed to work way more often than before being able to pay rent. I asked my boss to work more during the week. So, I started to pile up homework and assignments because I didn't really had time to make them. I was always at work until super late and I just wanted to go to bed every time I was coming home. I started to make a lot more money than before and started spending it on some new clothes because I always had more money that I needed. I didn't really paid attention to my grades until the third weeks, I was not passing any of my classes. At least, I looked really good in my new clothes at school in front of my friends.

I just finished all my theory in class it's now time to decide where do to my clinical for a year.

I chose to do my clinical in Quebec City. There's a brand-new oncology department that just got built a year ago. I just started my clinical there, it's the nicest place ever. All the equipment is new, everyone is super nice, the hospital is not as depressive as I expected to be. I'm really happy because I'm finally in my hometown and I'm super close to my family and friends. It's the best decision I could have made. At the end of the year, I finally passed all my clinical exams super easily and, I'm ready to work as a real radiation therapy technologist.

I decided to stay in Montreal and do my clinical at CHUM. I'm really well-surrounded by people as my teachers and my classmates. I miss home but the work environment is really nice. I live alone in a really small apartment downtown with my dog. I go back to Quebec City every weekend to see my family and friends. It's a long and hard year, but I finally passed all my clinical exams and I'm ready to work as a radiation therapy technologist.
