You're about to finish secondary school. It's finally time to decide where you want to work in your future. You've always dreamed to become a police officer but your parents want you to become a neurological surgeon like your older brother.

You know that College Ahuntsic is the best College of Quebec, but you have just enough money to live in a small apartment in Montreal. You also know that your best friend is going to live in an enormous apartment in Trois-Rivieres for some time, but you’ll need to apply in the Trois-Rivieres Cegep which is a less successful Cegep, however, is it the closest to the National Police Academy of Quebec.

It’s been a tough ride, but you’re on your way to graduate from Police Technology with straight A's. During your studies, a recruiter from the HR of the Sûreté du Québec send you an email saying that he sees great potential in you, and he can assure you a place with a great future in the Sûreté de Québec; however, you’ll need to go successfully graduate from the National Police Academy of Quebec. At the same time, your friend tells you that he’s discovered a billion-dollar idea. He needs your help to start the company, that means you’ll need to drop out from the Police Technology.

The recruiter kept his word, and now you’re working for the Sûreté du Québec. You’ve reached your dream! As the years passe, you go through countless specification in the police. On one hand, you’ve acquired enough experience to become the next Chef of the Sûreté du Québec, but on the other hand, you’ve become tired from your career, and you think it might be the time to retire.

Everything is going well! You’re at half of your studies, your grades are up, you’re in shape, and you have a girlfriend that you met in Police Technology. However, you’re completely out of money. You can no longer pay for your studies. You need to find a solution and quick. You know that the parents of your girlfriend have a lot of money, but you’re too ashamed to ask them. You also discovered a flaw in the criminal law during your Law classes that might come in handy.

Your parents-in-law are very disappointed that you ask to borrow their money. They don’t want the dad of their future grandchildren to be as lazy as you are. They come with an ultimatum. Once you took the money. You go and announce to your girlfriend that you need to break up. When you tell her the reason, she becomes extremely angry and says: “You stay here! I’ll go talk to my parents! You will become a police officer with me!" A few hours later, you receive a phone call. It’s your parents-in-law informing you that the police told them that your girlfriend died in a car accident on her way to their house. They say that it’s your fault, and they never want to see you again. Devastated, you don’t know what to do. You remember the money your parents-in-law gave you. You promise yourself that you’ll become, no matter what, a police officer in honour of your girlfriend last words.

You take one thinking: “what do I have to lose?” Later that day, the news announces the number winner. It matches yours! You won 50 million dollars! You scream of joy with your girlfriend. You can finally pay your studies, or you can live your life to the fullest by retiring now.

Now, you graduate from the National Police Academy of Quebec. A whole world open up in front of you. You need to decide for which police department you want to work for.

You’ve been working for the City of Quebec Police Department fort the last 10 years. Nothing serious happened in your career so far. However, on the night of Halloween, while you’re eating McDonald, your ear on the radio that a suspicious man is roaming the streets of the “Old Quebec” with a sword treating the civilians. With your experience you say….

It wasn’t a prank. That night, more than 10 people got killed and more than 20 others got severely injured by the suspicious man. Now you face several accusations in Deontology and every media is putting the fault on you. You’ll be fired from the police department and for the rest of your life, the death of these people will haunt your consciousness.

Arrived on the scene, you immediately see that the suspicious man is attacking random civilians. You get out of the car and point your weapon at him. You scream, “THIS IS POLICE, SURRENDER NOW!” The man looks at you and tells you to drop your weapon and I’ll surrender.

As soon as you drop your weapon, the man attacks you and stabs you. You’ll die of your injuries in the hospital, but you manage to limit the casualties in the city by giving time to the other units to arrive on the scene. You’ll be remembered as a hero.

You manage to scare off the man with your weapon and with the help of other backup units, you manage to arrest the man. For your bravery, the Prime Minister of the province of Quebec gives you the medal of honour. You’ll be remembered as a hero for the rest of your life.

You decide to join the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

After some time in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, you realize that it’s a really toxic environment. There’s a strong presence of office politics, some misconduct, and maybe even some sexual harassment. You don’t really know if you should get involved in that.

You can’t stand this toxic environment, and you don't want to get sucked up in the office politics; you decide to take an early retirement and leave the Royal Canadian Mounted Police with their issues.

You learn the ropes, and, more often than not, you manage to solve a lot of problems, and you discover that you really like being an HR executive. You’ll stay in this position for the rest of your career, and you retire with a good pension.
