After 3 years studying at Ahuntsic College in Police Technology and 15 weeks at Nicolet, an important choice must me made for my future. Should I apply to become a Police officer or should I continue my studies at University?
Choice 1 : Apply in a Police service.
Choice 2 : Go to university.
It was a hard choice, but I think I made the right choice by wanting to pursue my career as a Police officer and to serve people in help. It really joins my values. Now, I have to choose where I want to apply as Police Officer.
Choice 1 : Apply at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police
Choice 2 : Apply at the SPVM.
Choice 3 : Apply at the SQ
Now that I have made the choice to pursue my studies at University to get more experience and develop new skills, I have to choose in which program I would like to go. Two choices are available to me who are related to the field of Police Technology. I love this field of study, and I would like to continue in this way.
Choice 1 : Apply in Bachelor of law
Choice 2 : Apply in Bachelor of criminology
When I received my answer I was really excited! I started to read the papers that they send me about the offers that they had for me, and it says that they only have a job offer for me in British Columbia. It is really far away from where I live right now. I live in Quebec and the job is at 8 hours by plane. I don't know which choice to make between accepting it and declined it.

When I got the news, I was so sad. Being a Police officer in the SPVM was my dream since I was a child. It'a big city and there is a lot of action going on there. I took this answer as a sign that maybe the job in SPVM wasn't meant to be mine. I am now going to apply at new Police service, hoping to be selected and to finally be able to start my dream career.

This is such great news for me! I was so stressed of not being chosen after all these years of studying in the police domain. They gave me two job opportunities in two different cities near where I live right now. It is a difficult choice to make because it will determine the path of the rest of my career in a certain way.

Choice 2 : Take the opportunity in Laval.
After completing 3 years at University in a bachelor of law, I took the bar exam, and I sadly didn't pass. It was really difficult and my motivation for becoming a lawyer dropped, and I decided to give up on being a lawyer in my future. It was a hard decision, but I think that everything happens for a reason. I will now have to decide about what I want to be in the future at this time in my life.

After completing 3 years at University in criminology, I finally graduated and became a criminologist. With the degree of criminologist, I have different jobs where I can practice what I learned in school. I can be useful in special squads with the police or with the children who live in criminal environment and help them find solutions. I can decide to use my degree and find myself a job where I can put my learning wisely or to use what I learn in a career of police officer.

Choice 2 : Become a criminologist
By accepting the offer, I will have to relocate in British Columbia and leave all my family and friends behind. I had a choice to do about my future emplacement where I will live there. I will spend at least the next 3 years there, and I would like to live in a place big enough to receive my family when they come to visit me. The choice is hard between buying a house or renting a condo.

I think I made the right choice by choosing to stay here with my family and friends. I have other opportunities for my dream job here in Quebec. I won't have to start a new life far away from here, and I am really happy about it. I will apply to a different place for my future job as a cop.

I was really excited to start my new job in very busy place. I loved the fact that it was on the job training. I learned while practicing my job as a cop. I enjoyed it a lot and will never want to leave to place where I have enough action to keep me up and going. I hope to finish my career in this place and be able to be able to go on vacation as much as I want.

I am grateful to be able to work just next to my house. The police station is at 5 minutes. It gives me the chance to save time for transport and that way I am able to spend more time with my family at home. I love this place and will stay there until my retirement due to the proximity of it.

Even if I decided to go to university instead of directly going into being a Police officer, after my 3 years studying in a program that is similar as the job of Police officer, I decided that I wanted to use what I learned in University in my dream job, which is being a cop. My degree in University will maybe help me to become a Police officer faster. I now have to choose between different place I want to apply to accomplish my dream job.

I may have been dreaming about becoming a Police officer all my life, but I think my mind changed, and I am ready to go live and take a new path for my future. I learned to love criminology while studying, and I decided that I wanted to be a criminologist for the rest of my career. I now have to choose between working for the police or working with the government.

While working in British Columbia, I fell in love with a man, and we married ourselves together. He moved in with me, and we had two beautiful kids together. I decided to finish my career as a Police officer in BC due to these conditions. I lived a really happy life, and I enjoyed my job every day. I finally retired and chose to live there for the rest of my life with my family.

Even if I liked BC a lot and the job that I had there, I was missing my family so much. I had to relocate myself near my family in Quebec. I finished my career in a station in Montreal, still working for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in the drug department where I participated in big surveys. My time has come to retire, and I am happy about the career I had.

I am happy to be able to work as a criminologist in partnership with the job I dreamed of doing when I was younger. It is a great combination. I will work with them my whole career, until my retirement.

I am grateful to have this opportunity to work for the government because it I really well-paid. It may be a little more boring, but I will learn to enjoy it and cop with it. I will work for them until my retirement.

Even if I would like to go and relax in the sun, I love my job so much that I want to do this until I die. Even if the human resources have told me that it would be good if I retired, I told them I wanted to continue working.
