Oh my God! In a couple of months, I will have a master’s degree in psychology. For as long as I can remember, I have always been a straight A's student with a good drive of work. Nonetheless, during the last three years, I had the ultimate student experience: time management troubles, dead-end jobs, late nights of study, endless hours of work, harsh deadlines to meet, lazy teammates to tolerate, annoying teachers to please… However, presently, I am not excited. Quite the contrary! I am anxious, hesitant, and stressed. Why? Well, in less than 24 hours, I have to select the city where I want to do my final internship to learn the ropes about practicing psychology. Help me!

Oh dear! Guess what? I chose to do an internship in Compton because I wanted to give myself a challenge. To be honest, I am excited, but mostly overwhelmed. During the morning, I met Christopher, my first client. Christopher is a 28-year-old single father. He suffers from a bipolar disorder. He decided to meet with a psychologist with the purpose of changing his behaviour in order to give a better life to Koko, his five-year-old daughter. When Christopher experiences episodes, he tends to neglect Koko completely. He does not care to wash her, to feed her, or even to put her to bed. In addition, more often than not, he stays out all night without a regret or a remorse. Christopher does not take his responsibility seriously. Hence, I want to ameliorate Christopher's life, but mostly Koko’s life. Help me!

Back to the roots! I chose to do an internship in Delhi because I wanted to see the world through the eyes of someone outside of the western world. I had the chance to sit down with Nia, my first client. Nia is a 21-year-old woman. A month ago, she was raped by two classmates. She refuses to file a sexual harassment and rape complaint to the police, but she desperately needs help to overcome the trauma. Help me!

It took me a lot of time and effort to find a program to help girls overcome the trauma of being raped. I finally found one. Nia agreed to join the program. In our next sessions, she will give me news about her progression and her recovery. I look forward to seeing her.

Youppi! I decided to stay home, close to my loved ones. Today, I met my first client, a 27-year-old man named Shane. He is a successful real estate agent, but he suffers from severe eating disorders. He has a low self-esteem because he tends to constantly compare himself to others, especially with regard to the body. Hence, he has a bad relationship with food. Throughout our session, I developed a love for Shane, a love that should definitely not be present in a professional relationship. Trust me, I did not do it on purpose. His appearance, his personality, and his story left me no choice. I do not know what I should do, but I sincerely want to improve Shane's life. Help me!
