Before starting CEGEP, I had to choose a program that interested me. Most of the many programs available to me made me hesitate because it was the choice that would determine my career.
Choice 1 : Choose Social Science program.
Choice 2 : Choose Nursing program.
So now that I had chosen Social Science, I find that I want to help and coordinate the people in their lives. But it takes a lot of effort like patience and attention. The drawback is that you can do a variety of work with a Social Science program.

After two sessions in Nursing, I had realized the purpose of this program. Nursing is about taking care of people health, and I wanted to do more.

I was successful at every class. My results were straight A’s only. For me is really important to do not put aside the homework that the teacher gave to us. Also, time management makes me get more benefits from my relaxation hour, because though all the homework I managed to have fun. I want to go to a good university.

Despite, my desire to pursue a career in Social Science, I feel like every courses is extremely maddening, so I didn't pull of my diploma.

I decided to drop out of school to find a job. Even if I don't like what I'm doing, at least I am making some money.

I absolutely do not want to hinder successful years in the CEGEP, so I continue in nursing against my will. Probably I will like this job later.

I choose this university because they have good standard HR programs. Furthermore, This University is not too demanding, which will allow me to have more time for myself.

This university has a rigorous teaching which takes a lot of effort, but I am ready to do whatever is necessary. They have internships of 6 months after you get your diploma. Internship can help me to have a foot in the door.

I started my OJT 6 weeks before starting my job in a factory. The salary of a trainee was way higher than what I earned during my OJT, but he explained to me that with effort in my work I would have a premium wage like him. Also, I had the bias to let the machine work without checking that everything was correct. Finally, I got the job and I didn't really like it, so I came back to CEGEP.

I started volunteering abroad. At the beginning, I was skeptical because I thought being a volunteer was a waste of time. For me, the invaluable advantage to volunteered is that we have an in-depth learning. The only disadvantage is that I wasn't with my family, in my country to be more precise. Volunteerism help me realize the purpose of CEGEP and now I want to get back in school.

Since I didn't want to be a nurse, now that I have this role I don't feel comfortable. I decided to do a new program at CEGEP.

Finding a job is very difficult but I managed to get an offer as a human resources manager's assistant. I will learned invaluable skill.

Every intern that I know, usually just want a test drive but for me it's not enough. I wanted to come in handy when I start my job. Of course, I knew I was going to have difficulties but if I overwhelm all that I will be a better employee. I have learned the ropes and now the company offers me a job as a human resources manager.

When I got hired, the Human Resources department helped me integrate the company as an employee. Well, before an HR manager was hiring me they performed a background check. It was a leg work to hire me since it was necessary to obtain information on me. The benefit of this is to make sure they get the best qualify person. An HR met me to tell me that I was selected. After 6 years, as an assistant I want to create my own company.

I spent 30 years as a human resources manager, I think it's time to take a well-deserved retirement.

After creating my company, the drive of work motivates me. I got sick and sell the company because I was doing a lot of overtime. The lack of rest gave me a brain cancer.
