Too many options.
My name is Mégane, I am 24 years old, and I am in my first year in college. I feel I should be further in life, because all of my friends are finishing university or having children. I am constantly enrolling in programs or starting new jobs and I always end up giving up because I can't find my place. Again, I have two options, what should I choose?
Choice 1 : Do well at school.
Choice 2 : Become a supervisor.
Do well at school.
As I thought, how can I do well at school, I asked myself "Do I put all the effort to get a straight A's? Then, I thorough my idea and I thought that a straight A's is a final result and that isn't an action to do well at school. A good time management and to put aside some distractions are the best methods I found to concentrate on my work. Since I am in school, I have learnt to be thoughtful about the work’s ethics and not been cursory with my homework. Once again, I have different methods to succeed.
Choice 1 : Focus on my success.
Choice 2 : Take as many courses as possible.
Become a supervisor.
I just started a job in a department store. Considering that I had a good command of my job's tasks, my employers asked me to be a supervisor. The new task I had was to show a new trainee the work OJT.
Choice 1 : Make my own law.

Focus on my success.
Every day, I pull off my bed early and go for a run outside to have the energy I needed to concentrate at school. I am also pulling off some extra homework in my courses to be more prepare for the exams. Like the famous rapper, Eminem, said in his song Lose yourself, "Success is my only *** options, failure's not" so I pulled off all of my evaluations. In addition to having good grades, my teachers suggested that I volunteer to make it look good in my resume.

Choice 2 : Keep focusing only on my evaluations.
Take as many courses as possible.
I decided to take 10 courses this session. I attend my classes assiduously, I do all my homework, I ask questions. Despite my best efforts, I feel like I'm participating in a marathon that I haven't trained in. I barely have to catch my breath. I'm exhausted. I feel like I'm going to let go again.

As I supervised him, I had a lot of bias about the speed which he was going to be able to work. I do not care about a well-done job; I wanted the job done quickly. The fact that the trainee was slow put him at a huge drawback in his training. At the end of this day, I sent him back home and told him that he does not have to come back next morning. When my boss realized that I had fired him, he was very unhappy, so he fired me too.

I showed all the tasks to do to the new employee while discussing our respective lives. We quickly connected and got along very well. I told him that I loved my job but despite this, my real dream job would have been to work in a law firm. He told me that his father was a lawyer and that he could try to get me into his firm. I was excited.
Choice 1 : I got an internship in the law firm of his dad.
Choice 2 : My college didn't come back to work.

I was very stressful the first day of my internship. To calm me, I told myself that this internship was like a test drive and that I was learning the ropes, so I shouldn't have put too much pressure on my shoulders. At the end of this day, the father of my college told me that I already have a foot in the door, that I was learning the ropes really easily and that my help in the firm can came in handy.He offered me a job as a legal aid assistant, but he told me that I had to go back in school and graduate. He told me that he would pay all my school fees. I went back to enroll in college.

The days passed and I never saw my college again. I was really disappointed because for a moment he had given me hope of realizing my dream.

Volunteering in Guatemala.
I went on a volunteering abroad in Guatemala with a group of volunteers. My group and I had the purpose of building schools for children. My advantage was that I had already volunteered to build schools in Quebec, so my help was invaluable to them. The advantages of my groups were physical strength, knowledge of architecture and a desire to help. My disadvantage was that I did not speak the language of the country. The disadvantages of my group were that we did not know a market to buy the building and school materials. As my group volunteers, we did not accept premium wage. The people of Guatemala wanted to help us, but they were too concerned with their death-end job. At one point, my group and I were skeptical about how long it was going to take us to build the schools, and I was afraid of running out of time. Luckily, my group and I had time to finish before our term in Guatemala ended. I even had the chance to decorate the school in-depth with educative's poster about the law on the walls.
Choice 1 : Come back to Montreal and decide to apply in law firm.
Choice 2 : Decide to stay in Guatemala and open my own law firm.
Keep focusing only on my evaluations.
I was admitted to university with the highest grades. I graduated from university with the best grades too.I graduated from Bar of Montreal.

I was accepted into no law firm because I had not volunteered, and they felt it did not reflect the qualities they were looking for to be a good lawyer.

One of my colleges in the past had found me a job at his father's law firm, in exchange for which I had to finish my studies.I worked for 10 years at this law firm. I pleaded at the Quebec Court of Appeal against thieves, criminals, even young offenders and people who had been involved in fraud. I always came out on top in my trials and all the defendants who were against me pleaded guilty. After all these years, I wanted to try something else.

Come back to Montreal and decide to apply in law firm.
I came back to Montreal and started to get very sick. I was vomiting all day, I had a stomach ache, and I was bleeding profusely from my nose. I ended up dying at the end of my blood, in my bed.

Decide to stay in Guatemala and open my own law firm.
I opened an office as a notary. I was filling out contracts and testimony with the people of my village, who seemed unfamiliar at all with his methods. I have provided a lot of legal aid to the community. I stayed here for the rest of my life. I feel like I belong here. I feel that I am helping people's lives and that I can make a difference.
