Your Path After Studying in the Social Science Program.

Congratulations!

It is the end of the year and after spending two long years at the Maisonneuve College you have finally graduated. You are a good student, and it paid off because you have been accepted to two universities in the program of your dream: criminology. It is now time to decide.

Choice 1 : You accept the offer at the university near your house.

Choice 2 : You want a new start, so you accept the offer at the university in Quebec and move in with roommates.

Two way path

You accept the offer at the university near your house.

The first year went well, you learned a lot about the criminal phenomenon, and you’ve never been so interested in your lessons. Unfortunately, you are starting to be overwhelmed by the workload and sometimes you feel like screaming with frustration. You must have straight A’s, but it is hard and sometimes it can be maddening. You lack of energy and you are really in need of a break, so you take a day off. You can either go out with you friends or stay at home.

Choice 1 : You stay at home.

Choice 2 : You go out with your friends.

Overwhelmed

You want a new start, so you accept the offer at the university in Quebec and move in with roommates.

Since you no longer live with your parents, you now have bills to pay. You need to find a part-time job that will give you an income allowing you to maintain the same lifestyle as before. After you thoroughly examined your options, you decided.

Choice 1 : You apply at Zara as a sale associate.

Choice 2 : You apply at a hotel as a receptionist.

Job

You apply at Zara as a sale associate.

No one wants to work at Zara. The customers are rude, and you’ll just end up with back problems because you’ve folded too many clothes.

Choice 1 : Try again.

What were you thinking?

You apply at a hotel as a receptionist.

After doing a background check, they hired you. Tough the wage and the benefits are good you are skeptical about the post. There is a drawback. Your supervisor asks you to work a lot of overtime and since you are a trainee, you are afraid to refuse. You also think your supervisor was flirting with you during your interview.

Choice 1 : You talk about it to the boss.

Choice 2 : You don't say anything.

Receptionist

You talk about it to the boss.

Your supervisor does not like what you said about him and decides to confront you. Things got out of control and he hit you. You hit your head on the table, fell on the floor, and died.

Choice 1 : Try again.

You talk to the boss.

You don't say anything.

You were right he was indeed flirting with you. His flirtation makes you uncomfortable. Although you told him to stop several times, he persists. You wonder if you shouldn't file a sexual harassment report, but you're scared. You now dread going to work. You decide to quit because you no longer feel comfortable.

Choice 1 : Try again.

Sexual harassment

You stay at home.

Staying at home was a good decision. You took the time to reflect on your situation and thought about the advantages et disadvantages of staying in school.

Choice 1 : Your degree is worthwhile, so you keep fighting.

Choice 2 : You are tired of studying and drop out of school.

Stay at home

You go out with your friends.

After drinking a little bit, your friends decide to go to a huge party. At first, you are a little skeptical about it, but eventually you decide to go too since it is the first party that you’ll be attending in the last two years. You are really existed.

Choice 1 : You drive to the party.

Choice 2 : You call an Uber.

Girls

You drive to the party.

You are nearing the party when you hear the police sirens. The officer stopped you because you were speeding and noticed that you were not sober. You ask if he can only give you a warning, but he refuses and arrests you. Now, not only do you have a ticket, but you are also in detention and your parents have to bail you out of jail. You'll have to go to court.

Choice 1 : Try again.

Police sirens

You call an Uber.

From the moment you set foot in the house, someone gives you a drink. Everyone is drinking and dancing. You are having the time of your life until the police shows up. There are some minors at the party, everyone is arrested including you. You end up in detention.

Choice 1 : Try again.

Party

You are tired of studying and drop out of school.

You decide that school isn’t for you anymore and drop out. Disappointed, your parents stop financially supporting you. You end up in a dead-end job, unhappy and in debt.

Choice 1 : Try again.

Dead-end job

Your degree is worthwhile, so you keep fighting.

Although it was hard, you successfully completed your second year. It went by really fast, and you got to learn invaluable skills relating your field such as the analysis of the human behavior. The time for you to decide where you'll do an internship for you third and last year has come. It is a good way for you to put a foot in the door.

Choice 1 : You decide to work with victims.

Choice 2 : You decide to work with offenders.

Studying

You decide to work with victims.

You made it! You got your degree. Since it was new to you, you had to learn the ropes of it, but it was interesting. Your internship went really well, and it made you fall in love with your job even more. You found your purpose. You’ll now not only be able to help the victims overcome their trauma, but you will also create a better environment for the society.

Choice 1 : The end.

You did it.

You decide to work with offenders.

Congratulations, you made it! You got your degree. Since it was new to you, you had to learn the ropes of it, but it was interesting. Your internship went really well, and it made you fall in love with your job even more. You found your purpose. You’ll now not only be able to help the offenders in their process of reintegration into society, but you’ll also create a safer environment.

Choice 1 : The end.

You did it.
