My Career Path.
The choices I had to do.
For the last two sessions, I've studied at the CEGEP de Maisonneuve at the Social Science program, especially the World Profile with Math. The reason I've chosen that program is that not only I am very good at Math, but because it allows me to do more choices for my future college program. However, my true goal is to become a historian and I want to get into the History program at Montreal University. Will I be accepted? Or should I start looking for an alternative?
Choice 1 : To continue in my current path.
Choice 2 : Pursue an alternative in another program I like.

With all the efforts that I've done, I will succeed at entering the History program at Montreal University. But I've got a choice to make between two programs because it appears that History is divided into two programs: History and Classical History. I can stay with my original choice or I can specialize into studying Classical History.

Alternative in another program that I like.
However, when it comes to alternative programs, those that I like are quite rare at my future university. I can choose Geography because it is my second favorite subject.
Choice 1 : Geography
History.
Even if it's a broad program at Montreal University, History has multiple interesting subjects to study, ranging from the Americas to Europe and even secluded parts of Asia. There are also multiple specific classes in which History is divided into particular sections such as for example, Canadian Political History. There are even classes that gets focused in a specific country outside of North America, like History of the U.S.S.R. Also, there are language classes related to that program, which is very useful because as a historian, it is also necessary to learn foreign languages, particularly those that are hard to understand. It's a win-win situation!

Classical History.
This program is also interesting because it dives deep into the ancient civilizations, specifically the Greeks and the Romans. It doesn't have much unlike the simple History program, but it does have one strong perk: the ability to participate in a real archaeological mission, in Greece! Talk about some well-acquired experience and knowledge. All of this makes that program a very good second choice.

Geography.
It may be more complicated to study than History, but Geography is my second favorite subject and it has also its fair share of interesting things.

Continue in the History program.
Studying History as a whole is the greatest thing ever. Multiple subjects are presented to me. The first few were easy to pick, but surprise! I have to pick some language classes. While there are easy ones, there are also hard languages that I am interested in understanding. That's one rough decision. Which ones should I choose?
Choice 1 : Stick with easy languages (European ones)
Choice 2 : Try the hard languages (Arabic, Chinese and Japanese)
Continue in the Classical History program.
Classical History is also a nice program, but a big challenge comes to me! I have to pay extra bills for the archaeology trip. This forces me to make a huge decision, should I pay the bills and stay in that program or reconsider my choices?
Choice 1 : Pay the bills and stay.
Choice 2 : Get back
Continue in the Geography program.
This is it. I have chosen to stay in the Geography program. So, this means my future university study program will be in Geography.

Stick with easy languages (European ones).
My gut instinct tells me to stick with the European languages because they are easier to understand and learn. Still, it allows me to go into History class without any problem.

Try the hard languages (Arabic, Chinese and Japanese).
Curiosity got me and I chose the hard languages. However, I learn that there is a required test for those languages. Should I try to pass it or reconsider my decision?

With the bills paid for the trip, my place in the Classical History program is officially done.

Filled by my strong determination and willpower to study, I try to take on the language test that will allow me to study them and keeping the History program. Hopefully my basics in those languages will help me.

Another huge dilemma pops up in my head. Because of all the complications I have to do with each choice, I had to go back to think again on my future program choices and choose the perfect program for me.
