Apply to be an intern.

You're a student in your last year of university at UQAM in human resources and you need to decide where you want to be an intern. You apply at two different work environment, one is an accounting office with a friend of your mother ; Alyssa, and the other is a government's office with a man you met in your classes ; George.

Being an intern at the accounting office.

When you come for your first day, you meet Alyssa, and she introduces you to the other workers. While she shows you the office, you hear two people argue in a room next to you. You enter the room and find Daniel and Maria, two employees you met earlier, fighting about a personal issue. Alyssa comes between the two and separate them. She asks you to go with one them to another room to learn more about the fight.

In the room with Daniel.

You sit down in a room alone with Daniel while Alyssa goes with Maria in another room. Alyssa warns you about Daniel because he is known to have some anger issues and can be violent quickly. You start by asking him why he was fighting with Maria. He says that she came storming in the room, angry at him, and he didn't know why. At this moment, she jumped him saying that he was harassing her friend and that he should leave her alone. He replied saying that he doesn't know what she talked about, so they started fighting when you came into the room with Alyssa. You realise that you should carefully ask your next question.

Backstory of Daniel.

Daniel sighs, and lock eye contact with you. He starts his story when he met Angelica, Maria's friend. He and Angelica used to date. They were a happy couple until he started to work here with Maria. She became jealous of her friend and wanted Daniel all for herself, so Maria told her friend that he was cheating on her at work thinking she would have him all for herself. Angry, Angelica has decided to leave Daniel and since then, he tried every day to apologies to his ex-girlfriend. You smile at him and leave the room and go see Alyssa, you tell her the story, and she lets you go for the day. After the first day, you are really excited about this internship.

Breakdown.

Daniel's face changes really fast after he heard your question, his sad smile transform into a face of rage. He jumps out of his chair and picks it up and throws it at you. You get hit by the chair and you hit your head on the floor. Everything goes black and silent... You wake up in the hospital bed with a concussion with Alyssa and your mom at your side.

In the room with Maria.

You sit in the room with Maria, she tells you that Daniel is a bad man, and he is harassing her friend named Angelica. She tells you that she is scared for her friend, but she starts crying all of a sudden.

Moment of truth.

Maria stop crying and whips her face. She smiles and tells you her story of jealousy. She was in love with Angelica, she wanted to cut Daniel out of the picture, so she and Angelica can be together, but since she told Angelica a lie that Daniel was cheating on her with somebody at work, she feels awful. Also, Daniel kept trying to contact Angelica so Maria was furious and kept fighting Daniel. Maria looks at you and tells you she is ready to apologies to Daniel. You leave the room and go check on Alyssa and tell her the good news. She congratulates you and bring Maria to Daniel. You feel happy that you could reunite two coworkers.

You stay quiet and Maria continues to cry for the next moment, that feel like hours or days. You try speaking to her, but she doesn't respond to anything. You left the room with nothing to tell Alyssa and finally go home sad and depressed.

The government's office.

On your first day, he asks you to help him hire somebody and do three job interviews. Of course, you accept and are super excited to have some reel training in the area. The first candidate is a young man named Ian, he is a little older than you with a few years experience. He seems responsible and trust wordy. The second candidate is woman named Sandra, on her resume it says that she graduated at the UQAM, and she has a lot of experience because she used to take jobs for vacant positions where employees went on long vacations. Finally, you meet Lucy, she asks a lot of question about the salary and the options for vacations and seems disappointed. After all these meetings, George ask you which candidates he should pick.

Ian is hired.

A few weeks later, Ian is a really great addition for the team. George is really happy about this decision and you continue to help him in his job while learning a lot. When your internship is almost over, your boss comes to see you and asks you about your experience. You tell him you had a great time and you were blessed to work here for a short amount of time. With a smile on his face, he asks you if you want to stay here full time in George's team.

After graduation, you start to work with Ian and George full time. You're really pleased with this decision and you're glad to work on such a great team for next couple of years.

A fresh start.

After graduation, you start to look for a new job opening in the city. You spend a lot of time on research with no success, and you start to regret the past. One day, you have a successful job interview and you get hired in finance company. With your head full of experience and good memories, you start working with new people.

The next day, Sandra comes to her first day. She is a great and experienced worker and it was a great choice. Near the end of your internship, your boss comes to see you and ask you if you did enjoy your time here and want to come back after graduation.

After graduation, you come back to work at the government's office and work with Sandra and George. You have great chemistry with her but unfortunately, Sandra and George don't work great together. They argue a lot and aren't the best team. When you three are together, you always have to be in the middle of their fight. You start to think what you could have done different.

Lucy is hired?

You decide to put your trust in Lucy. After a couple of weeks, Lucy doesn't come to work and you decide to call her. You ask her why she didn't come to work. She laughs on the phone and says that this job wasn't worth it and went to another place before ending the call. Ashamed of your decision, you go tell George and you could never look George in the eyes for the rest of your internship.
