High school was great, but now you have to focus on more serious things. You are the only one in your friend group who chose pure and applied sciences because the career choices are much more appealing to you. You still feel a little reluctant about going to school since you know it is not going to be a smooth ride. Although you still haven't figured out what you really want to do in life, you know that it is either pursuing your studies or giving yourself some time off and working.

Now is the time for the next step, you have been accepted in civil engineering in university and what keeps you going is the fact that you are pretty sure that it's the right path, but curiosity always gets the better of you and you consider changing program and take your time.

Work seemed a lot less time-consuming than studying in a program where you have to go to university and in order to get a job. Since eleventh grade, you have been working at a local retail store and you hope that eventually with some hard work, you can earn the position of manager. Your parents weren't really supportive of your decision to abandon school for work, but it doesn't deter you and you also know that they need your help at the restaurant. You just have to come in handy, and they will quickly forget that you disappointed them.
