My Childhood.

I'm 11 years old, in my fifth year of elementary school. I constantly had good grades and valued school, then suddenly, I am put in front a big dilemma. Either go into the Intensive English Learning program in another school in another neighborhood that I've been selected to, or stay to my current school. One will give me the opportunity to learn English, a very important step if you want to succeed further in life or stay with my friends in my old school, who don't prioritize school. Wake up every morning at 5 a.m. to take the bus at 6:55 a.m. or go to the school 5 min away from my home.

College or dropping out?

I have to pick between following the academic path that I've been since almost a decade, even though my interest in school is decreasing. Even if the final line is near, my interest school isn't the same as it used to be. I'm learning about trades that pay $40 per hour, while allowing you to see the final results of your work at the end of the day.

My Friends or My Future.

After having the opportunity to learn English in another neighborhood, I have to make a big decision. Either going to an extra competitive High school I've been accepted to or follow my friends, whom at this point or a bad influence that will only lead me dead or in prison.

The Final Step of A Long Road.

I'm at the last step of my academic career, I have to choose between going to university in my home town in engineering or join the military for a free tuition.

After years of sacrifices, I've finally achieved my biggest since I was a little immigrant child of second generation, which was to graduate from university in computer science.

Lonely.

I've decided not to learn English in the intensive learning program, which amputated me in my studies. Not going to that program also means that I don't have the credentials to be accepted in P.E.I. in high school. The same friends I put my future away for, then went on to forget about me. Now I'm lonelier than I ever been for trying to keep people in my life that were never my friends in the first place.

Real Estate Road.

I've decided to pick a trade which allows me to work with my hands and be happier than I would've been picking any other options that were offered to me. While sharpening my school, I am able to learn about real estate and eventually invest in the real estate market with the disposable income that I will be getting from my day job.

By choosing the army path, I've gained multiple military skills that will help me in combat or survival situations, while earning a living while others were accumulating debt. I have eventually graduated with an engineering degree, a guarantee job and disposable income.

After years of putting others and other things, in front of my desires and feeling, I will go on a soul-searching trip. Now that I have the means and tools to do it, there is no better time. I'm in my mid twenties and depressed and burned, with I have no understanding, of whom am I.
