What will happen after Cegep?

I will be finishing Cegep in a year and I will have an important decision to make.

Choice 1 : I will pursue a career in fashion.

Choice 2 : I will become a digital nomad and travel the world.

I will pursue a career in fashion.

Pursuing a career in the fashion industry has always been a dream of mine since I was about five years old. Working as buyer for a big company has always interested me. Discovering new trends and developing some clothing collections is something that I find very thrilling and that I hope I can do in the future but there are still choices I would have to make.

Choice 1 : Move to Paris.

Choice 2 : Stay in Montreal.

I will become a digital nomad and travel the world.

I have always loved to travel and discover new culture and languages. Travelling full time seems really fun but how do you even make money while travelling? After doing some research these are my favorite options:

Choice 1 : Start a blog about my travel experiences.

Choice 2 : Work as an English teacher.

Move to Paris.

Paris is one of the world's fashion capital. Every fashion lover wants to go to Paris at least once in their life so why not go for work? Paris has plenty of incredible opportunities and by chance two crazy opportunities come my way.

Choice 1 : Work at Louis Vuitton.

Choice 2 : Work at Chanel.

Stay in Montreal.

Montreal is my hometown. Leaving the city would be way to difficult to handle. Being far from my family and friends would be literal torture. There are still many opportunities in Montreal but the options are a little less extravagant. I am wondering if I should specialize myself even more.

Choice 1 : Go back to school.

Choice 2 : Get a job as a buyer.

Start a blog about my travel experiences.

Blogging is an excellent way to document your travel while helping other. Many people search blog posts to find some helpful advice for their next travels. Writing on the internet is fun but I would love to also share my experiences through pictures or videos.

Choice 1 : Start a YouTube channel.

Choice 2 : Become a travel influencer.

Work as an English teacher.

Knowing how to speak English is a key the success in today's world. So, by teaching English you can have a stable revenue but you can also teach it anywhere because everyone wants to learn it. The options are endless, and I am having a hard time choosing in which country I want to teach.

Choice 1 : Japan.

Choice 2 : Nicaragua.

Work at Louis Vuitton.

Louis Vuitton is very well-known for their purses and their luxury items. They offered me as job as an assistant to plan the fashion shows. This is an absolute dream and I would not want it any other way.

I have been working at Chanel for three months now, and I am miserable. The work ethics are very bad and I have to work crazy hours and I have no breaks. I am always proud of my work, but they never seem content and threaten to fire me. I want to move back to Montreal.

Go back to school.

I have decided to go back to school and get a degree in business. I am very happy with my choice and I love my field of study. This degree will really help me in the future when I finally get my permanent job. I feel very good about the future.

Get a job as a buyer.

I finally have a job as buyer. This is what I have always dreamed of. Buying clothes for future collections and planning the budget for the season really gives me life. I am excited for the future but I wish I would have travelled more before working this 9 to 5 job.

Start a YouTube channel.

I have decided to start a YouTube channel to share the beauty of the countries I will travel to. I love videography but the only downside is that it can take many years before it becomes a stable revenue. So, despite this factor making YouTube videos about travel are an incredible creative outlet that I am thrilled to pursue.

Become a travel influencer.

Being a travel influencer means pretty much posting pictures about your travels on Instagram and showing the beautiful places you go. This is a win win situation because companies will send you out to beautiful hotels and destinations just so you can promote those place. This is quite literally what dreams are made of.

Japan.

Japan has such an interesting culture. This country is a dream and the food is incredible. Everyone is so polite and kind. I have never felt so safe in a country. The only downside is that I have come to the realization that I do not like to teach. I still greatly enjoy my time here but I will probably stop teaching very soon.

Nicaragua.

The weather in Nicaragua is incredible and I love to surf. I really don't like teaching here because the school system is confusing and not well-constructed. The country is beautiful and I love exploring the outdoors. I hope to get my licence to teach surfing lessons. I am excited for the future and I think I have found my home.
