Graduation Day.

D-Day is here, after three years of war between waking up at 7 a.m., freezing winter days, bus and metro delays, and the mountains of projects and exams that follow one another, you finally got your diploma, you finished your DEC in Business Management at LaSalle College. You call your parents to tell them the news, they are proud of you, you are happy with your accomplishment until your father asks you the question that you have been trying to avoid for months, "are you going to return home to take over the family business?" You don't know what to answer, you have already applied for a master in finance at McGill, and they have accepted you, but at the same time the companies that your father wants to leave you are already founded and ready to pay you a salary that you couldn't get here. You have to make a choice!

Choice 1 : Go to McGill.

McGill University is not affordable for an international student, but that's not a problem, your father pays the tuition but you have to work to support yourself. The first year was hard for you, between your job and classes, you couldn't keep up, so you failed your first year, your father is still trying to convince you to go back home, but you want to build your future on your own.

You have the choice between a retail store manager with a salary of $18/hr, or a marketing manager in a technology firm for $40/hr.

You arrive on the job interview and the director has just welcomed you, he asks you questions and you answer that you are a graduate of Lasalle College in business management, he congratulates you and announces that you will have two months of training paid the minimum wage and it is he who will train you so that you can master the ins and outs of the job. You are a little disappointed, you think of giving up this job and apply for another one.

Now you are thinking of opening your own business instead of taking what your father leaves you.
